Morning all... Maz, I'm not surprised!!!! You were flat out preparing for weeks... now take it easy and put your feet up a little bit... the dust will still be there tomorrow and the next day.... and Gizmo is clearly telling you the same, with his attempts to feed the family, lolol bless hom!
Ann.... lolol!! The image is now firmly in my mind!!
Hello Ginnie.... lovely to see you.... so pleased you enjoyed your break, it's nice to get away once in a while.
Mau, pleased you were able to bend down... I still get days when I get that... the feeling as though you are going to carry on spinning around and round, and the nausea that goes with it. Not often anymore, and it only lasts a couple of hours thankfully, so getting better!!
I have now been discharged from the Physio... just on an SOS basis, lol... she is very pleased with my progress, and I am too. I can feel that some of my muscles are working better... I am able to *sit up straight* without hurting my back now, so it has been well worth it... she also helped with making my list of *things to do* more realistic, with strategies for pacing myself more effectively, so I am pleased with myself, lol! I might even start swimming when I can find a cozzy I like that'll fit me. Don't get me wrong, I have at least 10 costumes... but in about 5 different sizes, none of them my current size... :¬((
I am not going to do much today... I have just loaded the dishwasher, and the washing machine, and I have some shopping to do for the weekend, but not much. I want to do a little bit of re-arranging the conservatory... just in case we have a very hot summer, so that I can open the twist and tilt windows wide so that it feels more like a verandah if the weather is hot, and without moving everything back and for all the time... this way it will just be the table by a couple of inches a time, and I can cope with that.
Well, off for a shower, and then some shopping... then I can put my feet up for the rest of the day.
Have a wonderful day, everyone
Love
Daff xxxx

Hello everyone hope you are all okie dokie and enjoying holidays and getting on with the decorating, we enjoyed our midweek break and are now getting ready to decorate our bedroom. It's the thought of moving the wardrobes etc that puts me off but I really want it done so must get my act together. My garden is blooming so not much to do out there just bits and pieces. I have been making cards as well and have got some more photos to scrap but I can't start those as OH will want the space when he comes to the wallpapering so I must leave my craft bits away for a while.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine if you have it that is. Ginniexxxx

~~~~~~~~~ to the running Maz!!
Well, lovely morning here, sun is just chasing all those clouds away and smiling down on us here... R has gone to work now, after making sure an apostrophe was in the correct place for me, lol.... I have sent him off with a packed lunch fit for a king, including homegrown and totally organic baby salad leaves...... I think we have overdone it, they are growing faster than we are eating them!!
and the morning stretches... I have nothing to do for a couple of hours... my physio is at 12, so if I start to *do* something I'll lose track of time and end up being late.... so I shall do very little, and get myself ready in a mo... when I get back, I shall make a birthday card for my son....
I hope you all have a wonderful day,
See you later
Love and ((((hugs))))
Well, after a beautiful day and sunshine up until at least 8 o'clock, it clouded over and there was no sunset and no stars. So, we were watching the soap awards. Oh, don't think I have read that one, read most of hers.
Hiya Ann.... why aren't you watching the sunset... I remember them being rather beautiful....
*Lucy Sullivan is getting married* is the book.... I am half way through.... but feel that the book could be reduced by a quarter with no ill effect...... and I love Marian Keyes normally!!
Which Marian Keyes book are you having trouble with Daff? We have ghekos and lizards here. One sort are small and brown.... and fast, the other sort have larger heads, which are greeny blue and are a lot bigger.... and fast.
Lol Ann....... I used to love the gheckos when I lived in Cyprus.... and of course they keep the mozzies and flies and other creepy crawlies down. They are the virtually transparent ones with the big black eyes. Sounds like yesterday was the end of a perfect day... it sounds like it, anyhow.
I have spent much of the afternoon asleep.... so much for sorting out the conservatory!! I have just put spuds in the oven for jackets.... we'll have spare rib chops and salad with that..... home grown salad leaves as well, which is lovely!!
I did put my conservatory plants out onto the decking to get a good soaking... they get very dusty, and they seem to love a good rainfall... I like them where they are, actually... so I might even leave them there for the summer.... I do hope we are in for a decent summer, I really do.
R is doing some shopping on the way home from work, so will be very late. He needs ciggies, so will get other bits and bobs while he is in there..... saves me going!! He usually comes back with a carton of prawns for me, lol.... there's romantic!! But better than a box of choccies for me...
Lol @ BC... did you get your spending spree???
Julia, the author is Marian Keyes. I have read most of her stuff, and really love her style... she has a very light seeming style, whimsical and comical, but deals very very sensitively with serious issues via her main characters as well. She is skillful... you don't feel at all *preached to* and they are very entertaining as well..........
Normally, lolol
But I don't like her main character in this one.... I want to shake her!!
Problem with my conservatory is that I use it as my pc room, craft room and greenhouse... but it is also the dining room, lolol That was why we had it built in the first place. I love it, though, and spend most of my time in here or in the garden... or dozing in bed!!
That made me jump, saw sometghing move out of the corner of my eye, it was a little lizard (or gheko) not sure which are which, that ran across the room and out of the door, must have crawled up the wall and in through the kitchen window.
