Here we go Amanda...set to song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98tNt33qWrQ
After the drum roll

Daffys armies on the move,
Wearing Orange ( some approve ) ,
We can march and we can jig ,
Wondering if our bums look big ?
Someone’s here come night or day,
Raising smiles along the way
Sequined headbands and yellow boots
Stomping all the way
Join Daffs Army
Join Daffs Army
Warble long
To the song
Were all here
To sing along
Daffys armies on the move ,
Wearing Orange ( some approve ) ,
We can march and we can jig ,
Wondering if our bums look big ?

Hi

I think the marching song could do with a few bugles, drums and trumpets at the very least. I've been trying to get the tune to 'Onward Christian Soldiers' to fit but it won't :-((

Apart from the orange uniform and sequinned headbands/armbands can we have bright yellow wellies? Do you think we would all be noticed?

What a sight that would be. Daff would have to get better to make us all go away :-)))

This is a great supportive thread. As the others have said, we are all here for you.

Was wondering how I could make some glittery armpits, Ann, but my eyes or my imagination were playing tricks...lol.. a song....hmmm...we need something jaunty and marchy....hmmmm.....

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 10 Aug 2010 14:47

I hope you are making an extra glittery one for yourself BC, and maybe glittery armlets as well. Can anybody set the poem to music for us?

ButtercupFields Report 10 Aug 2010 14:31

Just back from the dragonlady, who is in fine fettle...*sighs.....will pop in later when I finish off the orange sequinned headbands for everyone....bet you can't wait!

Big hug for Daffy. BC XX

Love it Amanda Lol Lol. As the orange is fairly pale I will go with it, might be better when I get the grey covered up next week though.

I suppose Daff that R has bought B***s out of cotton wool again??

Mummo, we know youa re with us, don't worry. And I am sure we have not forgotten that you still need our support. Hope you are coping OK and that you will get all the officialdom out of the way soon.

Daff, we must be the best informed chat board on the web!!!

Inspired by CarolB's post , I've come up with a possiable " marching song " for the army :

Daffys armies on the move ,

Wearing Orange ( some approve ) ,

We can march and we can jig ,

Wondering if our bums look big ?

Someones here come night or day ,

Raising smiles along the way .

Daffys Army !

Hope you like it : )) Lol

Hello Daff : ))

It sounds as if you have got your head round the whole thing , I like your " can't stand fighting with a blindfold on " philosophy .....it sounds spot on .

You do very well indeed to take in all the clinical " jargon " ...... I tend to hear what they are saying and it sounds like " blah...blah...blah... " .....lol

At least you seem to have a weeks " grace " in which to gird your loins , ready for the battle to commence .
Amanda xx
