*Dances in on feather light feet. Well limp limp dance a bit Lol.

Chiropodist followed by a bit of retail therapy, what a good jon M&S stores all have slightly different stock, then brunch at 2pm and a bottle of wine which I insiste stayed way over the other side of the table where I couldn't knock it over or anything. Then a walk to the hospital and the person before me kindly didn't turn up so I went in early, 'we' decided on the 'do nothing for 3 months' option. came out and were home by 5.15.

So back for duty again, now donned uniform and ready for action.

Morning Daff and all,

Just got in, reporting for duty. Have already done transport for elderly relative to the podiatry (I don't know why they have to change the names of these departments.)

There were no parking spaces, so had to double park to get her into the door, with the parking attendant hovering around. I said very loudly that I would see her into the department and go off to find a space. I didn't want to come back in about two minutes to find a ticket. Anyway, managed to find a space round the corner, and a blue badge one too. There never seem to be enough blue badge places at the hospital - just too many sick people I suppose!

Hope the chiropodist is kind to you Ann. Off now to do some housewifely duties. Will anyone notice my glittery headband, orange suit and yellow wellies while I clean the inside of my windows? (Have to do them, or the window cleaner won't be able to see where he is working in the next day or two!!)

Right, have just done the up and down manoovers with the coffee cup, that worked. Now off to get my feet in marching order at the chiropodist. And will no doubt have to explain the large bruise on my foot *sighs!

then we shall lunch so more up and down exercise, then a walk to the hospital for a check up. It is all go isn't it?

Morning Daff and all,
I am here at last ,morning aren't good for me as once I am on here I lose track of time and then nothing gets done but I will try I promise but I may be better at the late afternoon shift.
I have added a bit of extra bling to my pink hat and a couple of beautiful pink feathers are now tucked into the glittered band around the hat, very fetching it is too.

Kemp your teddie pjs are lovely and the pink hat goes very well, would you like some feathers to put on your hat I could throw some in next time I'm passing.

Have done my chair exercises and am about to do the leg exercises and walk to the kitchen to get a refill cuppa to do the arm ones, up down,up down, is that right.?

Oh yes I am very good at the 'avoiding the swearing' manoovers I have been practising those for years. lol

Bye for now

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 12 Aug 2010 10:29

I'm with Kemp on the exercise.
Linda I have had to get soft top socks for years!! The only thing is there is not much choice in soft tops for women so I buy the men's M&S smallest size. Then when I can't find them I search through OH's drawers to find he has pinched them and stretched them. Can't win can you? I hate elasticated socks.

And yes Kemp the teddy bear pijams with the pink hat look really erm nice.

LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 12 Aug 2010 10:07

Oh Daff those armchair aerobics look far too energetic to me LOL
I have got tendonitis you know.
Can we just have some leg exercises please? Then I might just get some wellies on.
Does anyone else have issues with the narrowness of wellie boots?
Maybe I should try to find extra wide tops on-line?
Just had to buy hubby soft top socks as the others have begin cutting in.
Is it an age thing, does anyone know?

Have a good day one and all

Linda :o) XxX

Beverley Report 12 Aug 2010 10:03

Oh thank you Daff. I just knew you wouldn't make us do those horrible manoovers things that I read about.

Here are a couple of good exercises:-

Up, down, up, down - then the other glass

or for the teetotallers

Up, down, up, down - then the other eyelid

More my type of exercises

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 12 Aug 2010 09:56

I do hope Kemp wears more than just a pink hat, Ann....... wmsl..

Now, Beverley, stop fretting...the manoovers are not like crawling around under that dreadful stuff that loos like haf of the New Forest, no no no no.... it is much more in keeping with our uniqueness.

There will be nail care manoovers, hair care manoovers, *how to totter without falling over and getting more bruises on 4 inch heels* manoovers *how to tell if there is a piece of lettuce stuck in your teeth* manoovers and suchlike.

The most important manoovers will be the *how to avoid the swearing manoovers* and I shall expect lots of good advice and tips on that.

And some gentle exercises, see this link... perfect, don't you think??

http://www.google.co.uk/images?q=Armchair+aerobics&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=yrRjTOGJPNWRjAeV-t3bBQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CDkQsAQwAw&biw=1024&bih=541

Oh, and then there are the remedial weight trainers.... the correct way to manage the extreme energy required for refilling your glass and lifting to one's lips.... it is soooooo important to get the correct angle, and to alternate arms... otherwise we wouldn't just be going south, we would be lopsided as well....... and with drips all down our lovely uniforms.

I shall be back in a mo.... I have a visitor....

Love
