I have just heard from his mum. He is doing well, but still very poorly and in ICU. His surgery was very radical... not only the heart, but reconstructive surgery on his chest and ribs. I don't understand it fully, but he is (was) very pigeon chested, so this will help him. They are pleased with the way it turned out, so that is good. He was wittering about missing some festival or other... he is a festival Junkie, lolol, so I don't know what one that might be....

Lol Ann, mine is stunning, even the cuttings (Jethro was being a tiger, and knocked a couple off a couple of months ago. I stuck them in a pot and they are flourishing!) Glad your MOT all went well.

Thank you, everyone...

Love

Sending lots of thoughts for your nephew, enjoy the sunshine, the garden is looking very autumnal here Dad's plant that I can nver instantly remember the name of is starting to go pink.

Just had my check up at the nurse/results of blood tests for MOT two weeks ago. All results good, blood sugar good, cholestrol 4.5, BP 115/63, no protein in 'wee' test. So hopefully that is that for another year and Doc gets another tick in the box!!!

Morning Daff
Hope you are resting today and manage to doze off in the garden.

So sorry to hear of your nephew, but he truely is in a great hospital. Dad was there 18 months ago and had a double by-pass, defib and pacemaker fitted and he's still very much with us and now 82 years old.
Sending healing thoughts

MrDaff Report 1 Sep 2010 10:38

Morning everyone... I am not too sure how I feel yet, lol... had a bit of a disturbed night, with coughing, so slept in about 2 hour snatches. But I have only just finally got up. R has decided to stay home again, and my temperature is totally normal this morning... it did go up a couple of times, but came back down again quickly, so we have managed to put off going in to hospital. I think because the receptionist at the surgery was on the ball (my my, they are really coming on, it was the new one too, the head one is brilliant anyway) and the doc came out, it was caught before it had a chance to take hold.

I am going to take it easy peasy today, and spend some time sitting in the garden, in the shade, may as well make the most of the sunshine now, while we have it, as the nights are beginning to draw in, aren't they.

Would you spare a thought or two, please, you are so good at them!!... my 21 year old nephew had his heart surgery yesterday. He was told 10 months ago that he needed it urgently, lol, but it has been cancelled a couple of times for even more urgent cases. He is in Harefield. We have known this day would come, all his life. He has an inherited condition. His birth dad died of it, just before my nephew was born. I didn't say anything, just in case it was cancelled again, but it had become *very urgent*.

He is doing fine, is in ICU, and still drugged up. But his surgeon is very pleased with it, and it went well.

Love to everyone, and have a wonderful day.

Good morning all.

Not to worry - where would I be without it (not in the Bahamas that's for sure).

Hope Daff is feeling better today and is well-rested.

We need you better to lead our foray into the nether regions - I think that is where Barry Island is. Not been before, so looking forward to that.

MrDaff Report 31 Aug 2010 13:49

Lol.... stop worrying!! I am ok, but have had a bit of a morning. I have a chest infection, the Doc came to the house... that was a novel experience, I can tell you. I am now dosed up with antibiotics and good old Oxycodon for achey bits, and cough mixture. So far, no really high temperature, which is good. I have been given a massive first dose of antibiotic, and then doses as usual for the next however many days. Oh, and an antifungal. Cos I get *that* when I am on antibiotics, lolol

R has stayed at home, and I have a bag packed just in case, but I think we have avoided that... Top Doctor Man phoned, and he is happy for me to stay here unless my temp goes up. There was some discussion about me going in and having an IV first dose of the antibiotic... but I have avoided that as well by having a huge oral dose. I could hear the nurses groaning at the thought of trying to get a cannula in, lol... bless them ;¬))

So please can I be excused manoovers and suchlike for a couple of days? I have a sick note *waves it around so all can see*

R is throwing me back to bed for an hour, so I shall see you later... my pc problems were down to a download, and have been sorted now... my keyboard is still tipsy though, lol... son hasn't fixed it.... but he HAS mowed (mown?) the grass he promised to mow 4 weeks ago...... progress.

Take care

Love
