Daff, its usually the codeine in cough mixture that does the trick. I take a sugarfree one called Pavacol. Please take care, and leave strict instructions how those cats are to be treated. Phil feeds the cats first thing and i am hard put to it to know what his routine is as i am generally asleep! This is the third day and our female stray hassnt showed up. Sent out scouts but at least her body is not on the road.

Afternoon all.... phew, what a night... sleep an hour awake for two, coughing. At 5 I'd had enough and took a HUGE slug of Benylin, straight from the bottle. I think I might have overdosed, lolol I coughed a little while longer, and the next thing I knew, I was being woken by Hermie washing my feet.. ever had a cat wash your feet? It feels like they are being filed with an emery board... so up I got, R wasn't in bed, I assumed he'd gone to work, cos I thought it was Monday, and got a shock to see him in his computer room... and the time was just about 1pm...... so now I just feel hung over, lol.... all that benylin!!

Jude, thank you both, and ######## (scratches behind the ears) for Madoc.

Mummo, you go girl, and have a lovely lunch out... I need to avoid them at the moment. So today we are doing a massive traditional roast, and will eat it properly, at the table, all nicely laid etc etc. R is just going out for the joint... beef, scrummy.

Beverley, yer buttons are dazzling, lolol.... beautiful they look, beautiful!!

*whispers* you are excused, Gwyn, but don't tell a soul it was me excused you, lolol... actually, it all looks very fetching in the flesh, so to speak... somehow the combination of colours and the bling seems to work... and the posh haversack sized handbag encrusted with jewels is to die for... stunning!

Maz it is chucking it down here... the conservatory will look like a Chinese Laundry soon!!

Linda.... brothers are just sooooo disparaging, aren't they.... I have to be extra nice to one of mine, too, as he is my donor, lol

Have a lovely day, everyone, no matter how you are spending it

Morning Daff and troops

A nice sunny day here for a change. We're off to the garden centre for some lawn sand, lawn seed etc. Then OH is going to trim the hedge, mow the lawn, treat the lawn and weed the borders. Now, what shall I do?

I know - get my uniform in tip-top shape (not that it isn't already you understand). So, a nice easy day for me today. May even get taken out to lunch if there's time.

Have a good day all ~~~~~~~ to everyone.

Morning Daff
Lovely day here again today. One wash already on the line and second one spinning away now.
Hope you have a nice day today and rest again , in sunshine storing up the vitamin D if you possibly can.
All the Army are off doing their own thing today, but will hopefully be back on duty in our smart uniforms early tomorrow morning.
Might need to explain to my brother why I insist on wearing a pink cowgirl hat !!!! He thinks I am stuck on my hen weekend, I always was odd to him being 12 years his senior !! LOL

Morning, Daff.

I seem to have lost my uniform *whistles innocently*

So I'll have to wear my jeans and a Tee shirt.

That's ok, isn't it?

Thanks Rose... actually, Asda is within spitting distance of me, but it is always heaving on a Saturday, so I have to avoid it like the plague at the moment. But... Dunelm is normally quiet on Saturdays, and R will go into pc world for me first just to check it out. So I now have two options!

I would feel silly having a delivery when they could probably throw it across to me, lolol!
Aw Jean, thank you... and my love to you and J as well, I know you haven't been wonderful yourself. xxxxx

R is now up... not yet awake, he has only just started his second coffee and second ciggie... another one of each should do it!

I am all ready to go. He hasn't asked yet, but he knows the signs... if I intend to slob, I'd have put my comfies on, but I have my good stuff on, lol And my Dorothy shoes for luck. ;¬))

Morning everyone..... beautiful day today.

When his nibs gets out of bed, we are going out... he doesn't know it yet, lol

B is cooking us his signature dish tonight, chicken strogonoff with spinach... it is scrummy!

In the meantime, I am off to Dunelm to get a nice fleecey blanket, thank you Jean, I hadn't thought of that, but will look out for them, I know the ones you mean. Plus I want a memory foam pillow to take in, and they have to be new. I am also hoping to sideline him to pcWorld... I want to have a touchy feely session with some little notebook type things. I have my oven money that I shall use (again, lol) as my oven still works, it is just noisy and very old.

But as I shall be in isolation for a while, probably not straight away, but certainly once we are in the direct lead-up to the transplant, I would like to have a piece of kit that will allow me to play films, watch some tv and let me come on the boards if I feel up to it. I would like a bright pink one, as I said. or maybe orange would be better as it would fit in with the uniform...

This weekend, I am starting a blog if I can work out how to do it... lolol this should be good!!

Have a wonderful day, everyone

Loads of love and ((((hugs))))

Morning SM Daff and all,

I am so sorry that the news wasn't better yesterday. I'm sure your Top Man Doctor has the battle well planned and will sort out the little b......ds and have you in top form again.

We will carry on square bashing and polishing buttons so we can remain smart during your detachment. Perhaps we should promote Ann in G to Corporal when she returns from her leave, to keep us all in order.

Not sure how anyone is going to keep your mottley army in order when you can't post, but perhaps they'll be on best behaviour

Daff, you will fight it better now you know what you are up against. Get yourself a fleece throw to take in,I find them so light and yet warmer than my wool blankets. Got cold last night with getting ou to the loo, and took mine in to the bed as a 'cuddly'. Its actually a dog blanket!
