Daff, probably Hermie is missing you and struck out at the nearest person. Lizzie hates it when I go out, and gets into even more of a strop when we both go.
Didnt they do checks on your heart before they started with the chemo?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Sep 2010 15:24

Good to see yo here again Daff. You will certainly have to have words with Hermie if it was him who had a piece of R. Maybe he was chasing the mouse but you mustn't take the risk.

Just had to strip off and put everything in the wash as we have been to Santa Cruz by car with our hosts and it was extremely hot!! Interesting place though and they are very proud of their history, between 6 months and 6 years prison for defacing historical monuments.

Looked at the old castle walls (in an underground tunnel) where it told how the British failed to capture the Canaries, Hadn't realised that Nelson had tried! Good place to practice manoovers anyway!

Afternoon SM Daff, Mr Daff and all troops,

Lovely to see you back on parade, and to know that things are now working, but sorry to hear that those nurses keep needing bits of you. Don't they know you are a busy, busy person with troops to keep in order.

I have done the shopping, collected Mum-in-law's prescription, and finally cut the back lawn. (I also had to go back to the hospital for Mum's hearing aid batteries - I exchanged them yesterday, and foolishly left them on the counter! Senior moments seem to be happening and I don't think I am very senior yet. Well, maybe.)

Perhaps I could borrow the regimental goat for a day or two, to do the front lawns. I promise to return it shampooed and brushed.

It is a very windy day, but I have got washing dry and folded already, so the ironing can wait until tonight. I must put my uniform in the machine now as I have grass stains in unfortunate places. It would not pass muster at present.

Happy afternoon everyone.

Love,
Elisabeth xx

MrDaff Report 15 Sep 2010 11:24

My my you are all looking fine and dandy, lol

Hickman line went in ( I was supposed to be a lot more sedadated than I was, typical) but it wouldn't go around the bend. *rolls eyes and throws out hands* nope, I don't understand it either... but it is to do with very small bloosd vessels, but all went well when the top man moved in and took over. Then it was discovered I have atrial fibrillation... and then a started to feel quite weak and wishy washy, sleeping an awful lot, and a bit of a blood peressure drop, but all is weel again now. I am about to start my last day of chemo... Two 20 minute drips and then a gap of four hours and then the 4 hour drip. Tomorrow I have the last of the injections, as well, so hopefully my bones will stop aching!!

Hermie is very naughty, and usually spends a lot of time sleeping across R's mouse and and arm, when R is trying to play bejewelled. I have suggested that if it was out of the blue like that, there must be something wrong, and he needs to go to the vet. It is actually a very very nasty slash, and all claws reaked R's hand. He will have to go esewhere while I recuperate if he is doing that, as I can take no chances.... but we will cross that bridge when we get to it

Right it has taken me a fair old while to type all this out... these darned nurses want bits of you all the time, lol

Take care and loads of hugs

Love

Daff xxxxx

Oh Gwyn - that looks lovely. Where did he get it from, I'm sure we'd all like one.

Hope all is well, Daff. Hopefully Pammy, Trinny, Ena etc are working (maybe I got those names wrong).

'Morning all...
Hope all is going well Daff.

My word..The troops are looking smart today.

I think OH is in competition with the uniforms. He has bought a 'hi-vis' jacket, ...half brilliant orange and half bright yellow with flourescent strips for night-time visibility.

He says it's for when he's riding round the local country lanes, but I guess he won't mind me borrowing it for 'manoovers'.
I'll go and try it on.........

What do you think?
