Good morning all... I have slept for Britain. Blissful even when I was awake for a while in the wee hours, cos it was MY bed and so comfy and cosy, lolol

Escaping was a bit of a toughie..... Doc said ok early on, pending blood results. But would this stone part with a drop? Nope!! Eventually managed to get the minimum amount to test at lunch time, to secure my release, and that was sent off for said testing. Results were that I needed platelets before I could go. Platelets ordered.

My named nurse then told me that I might have to finish off the transfusion sat in the corridor as there was a new patient coming in. But that wouldn't be for a couple of hours. It's pretty standard practice, and prevents people having to spend time down in A & E when they have spiked a temp. Upon which a paramedic popped his head around the door and advised that patient x had arrived. So I was evicted, but no matter, I would soon be home.

Nurse started to set up to put up platelets when they arrived, by *flushing* my canulla. It was dead as a dodo. This was 4pm

Platelets put on hold, and everyone and their best friend who fancied a stab at me came and stood in line, while two of the nurses started a book on how many stabbings before success.

5:30pm and new canulla was finally in, and platelets re-ordered.... they came up quickly, and by 10 past 6 I was ready to roll.

Today I am feeling quite spaced out, so will take it easy.... mind my legs wobble anyway, so can't walk far without needing a breather.

I have had some beautiful cards while I have been in, thank you all those who have sent them.

Love and ((((((((hugs))))))

Troops must stay vigilant but can stand down for a while unless needed urgently. Mutts can guard the doors Jude to prevent bugs getting in, and warn them that the felines live there!

OK BC a meeting to discuss uniform as we have become confused. Maybe SM Daff should tell us what to wear.

Daff hope you had a good nights sleep in your own bed. And that this time you manage more than a couple of nights.

Morning Daff and Troops. A job well done, I think, now all we have to do is find a way to use those purple tie died sheets. Hmmm....Cld we have a meeting to discuss our current mode of dress? Are we still with the waspish outfit or do we go back to orange, pink and glitter?? *frets...me bloomers are chaffing....

Hope you have had a wonderful sleep Daff:-))
