Okay, Stand Easy ! Stand at Ease!! (sigh..how one misses that at times...!)

Today: Daff remains stable. Because of this medics have stopped the sedatives, though it will take 24-48hrs for them to drain from her system. Whilst this is happening they are very slowly reducing both heart drugs and ventilator.
The latter is to see if Daff can take over the activities the drugs and machine were controlling, but just 'bit by bit'. She won't be able to keep the ventilator in without sedation, so if she can take over the breathing duties, then they can add oxygen via nasal tubes if needed.
She is absorbing some of the liquid food she's been given which indicates that the stomach has stopped throwing everything back!!! But way to early for anything else yet!
Dialysis continues, but this is also the way they are infusing platelets and potassium as well as filtering any sepsis in the blood.
She is def responding to pain/discomfort, according to the nurses, but no-one knows if she has been hearing what's been going on. No doubt, if she has, I'll get it in the neck in due course !! lol !!!
Still some tests to be done and the journey may be long, but a more encouraging day, at least.

New fridge in place and felines disgusted that salmon and chicken no longer on the menu (for now) ;o)

Have just been to light one and there are now 48 candles lit and I think most are for Daff and R.

Have not 'spoken' to Daff before, but can see from all the postings, that she is a courageous, much-loved and lovely woman.

I want to add my sincere wishes for her health to improve a.s.a.p, and to Mr. Daff for his unwavering love and concern for her, and keeping us all up to date, in spite of being so busy and desperately worried. He too, shows great courage, and even manages a touch of humour.

Come on daff, you owe it to yourself to have some more quality time with us and R. Shame about you missing sons birthday, but he will have understood. You probabl;y have a card and present tucked away somewhere all ready! Good morning Daff and Troops and welcome to our newest member, Baby Satin who will be in charge of the medical supplies of the baty lion,.like chocolate, Baileys,bandages, and er... stuff. And no swearing, Ann, while he is around:-) He will have to wear orange and pink,same as Gizmo, but he will learn to love it.

I hope our Sleeping Beauty has had a restful night and wakes up soon..
