Oh , thats a shame , but i can see the problem. Is Daff claustrophobic, that would make for problems with a mask. You will soon be on here telling us she is giving you orders again.

Maybe 1 step back R but won't be long when its 2 steps forward.

Hello all.
Little bit of a set-back today - they removed the ventilator tube and replaced it with a different type that uses a fitted mask. Daff couldn't cope with this, and couldn't cope without either. So they had to re-insert the primary ventilator. That meant more sedation, so she's been 'out of it' since early afternoon.
Dr says her vocal chords are swollen (from the tube), and chest fluid makes independent breathing very difficult, and that causes high anxiety.
So back a step and let the machines take over for a while longer. X-Ray showed chest area clear, but Dr now wanting to take removal of the ventilator 'more slowly, just to be sure'.
So still no ear-wigging (which I was perversely looking forward too..but, c'est la vie).
I had a list of all you wonderful people who have been supporting her on this, and other threads, but as Daff is a sleepy-head again, guess reading it out will have to wait a bit longer.
