Sorry there hasn't been a great improvement today, but perhaps Daff will wake a little more tomorrow and the infection will surrender for us all.

I imagine this must be getting you down a bit now Mr Daff,but it is obviously something that is going to take it's time.Daff will get there eventually,little by little.She is a feisty thing and will be doing her best to fight that blasted infection.How very Dare it still be hanging around!!Can't it not take a hint and just B*****r off.It is not wanted.

Well, at least a tracheotomy is reversible! Hope daff doesnt have to have oe though. You must be exhausted with all the felines and being with Daff in this state.

Seems 'wooshing reply syndrome' is spreading.


I was going to wait until tomorrow to give an update - had donned newly forged Bacofoil suit of armour and postioned (with the aid of chicken pieces) all felines in all-round defensive. Then sat back....

Unfortunately, the chicken ran out..

Therefore, fearing an all-out counterattack, I'm afraid there's no real change to report. Sedation stopped this morning and situ is now the same as it was last Friday. But as Daff came round (off and on) on Saturday, tomorrow may see some change.
BP up and down, as is heart rate (but bear sedation in mind). Certainly more 'comfortable' with the ventilator back in, and that will stay for a day or so. Meds given to try and reduce swelling in vocal chords (rubbed by vent tube), so a trachy' may well be on the cards. Still an infection there, but reducing and still hiding....bizarre.

That's about it, I'm afraid.

Well it's this time of day ,and I reckon we are all sat waiting for Mr Daff 's next update.Fingers crossed things have gone to plan today.

Good morning Daff, Mr Daff and troops, dry but chilly here today but half term is over so I am off riot patrol until further notice,so will be able to take part in all manoovers now.

The orange pullovers and pink beanies will be very welcome as the autumn days can be nippy, hope Julia makes them big enough as I do hate tight knitted jumpers (being large in a certain area) Are we having sequins and feathers on the beanies, I'm sure there will be some spare on the strictly thread (will nip over and look)
Off to have a nosey around now.

Very Foggy to start with here but the sun is out now so warming up:o)

Guess what...l got up an hour earlier than planned, my mobile had'nt changed time so l thought it was 9am...another grrrr!! lol got quite abit done though:o)

How are you today Daffers, hope you're feeling better than yesterday. You must be so sore and uncomfortable, but you're a tough old bird and will be feeling better again soon. With all this support and daft (but very nice) people on here, how can you feel any different...lol
