	It's good news Mr Daff, even if it's difficult for Daff at the moment, she's going in the right direction. Hope she manages to eat some real food today. Take care.

	Apologies for no update last night - had started but was distracted by a phone call that went on a bit !!!! And then forgot I hadn't submitted the post! Daff transferred yesterday p.m. from HDU to the Haemotology Ward. Trachy removed, and she has begun to talk. Still very confused though, and rmains 'in and out' of awareness. Short term memory dodgy, and coordinated movement is difficult. Off the drip-feed, so needs to look toward taking on 'real' food which in itself may be a big challenge. Another step... R.

	Evening Daffers and Mr Daff:o)) Hope you had more icecream to eat today, or something even nicer:o)) Tell you what....its bloomin windy here....the 100ft (approx) fir trees out the back have really been blowing about. 	Thinking of you Daff, hope that you are finding it easier to communicate. By the way, I know that sand can be a little messy -- however, it can also be clean. Damp sand is much better for writing, it should be wet using a sterilizing solution, such as that used for babies bottles etc. Hope that you had some more icecream and that you had a choice of flavours. A few sips of tea sounds good too love, Tess
