Daff is bound to have some days that aren't so good, but not being prodded with needles all the time will be a relief.

You must be worn out Mr Daff, take care of yourself.

Hopefully today will be a good day.

Evening Daffers and Mr Daff:o))

Sounds like the line is a good idea, it will stop poor old Daff having needles stuck here there an everywhere!!
Have you thought of playing any tapes of the family to her, especially the littlies, or do you think it would upset/confuse her ??? Just anuvver one of me thoughts!!

Keep your chin up R and take care.

Massive positive thoughts ont he way to Daff and massive ((((HUGS)))) alround:o)

Evening Mr Daff,

I have to admit, I had to google what a PICC line is. I do understand now. At least the medics won't have to poke Daff too much. Pleased that the physio session was good but it is a shame the appetite is still poor. Perhaps it will improve soon.

Hope the weather isn't too bad down there for you.

Yes good news about the line. I wonder if, when she is well enough, being in familiar surroundings will help her to remember more.

MrDaff Report 29 Nov 2010 21:21

A little step back today, but Daff has had a good physio session, plus (unbeknown to me..or her) a PICC line was inserted this morning. At least that means no more needles digging for elusive veins in hands/arms/feet etc, but it was a bit of a suprise to see it....and indications are that it may be there for a while anyway, but at least it makes IV and blood extractions 'easier' I suppose.
Appetite still poor, and not drinking very much - but all Daff wants to do is come home (wherever that may be....it's various places at the moment).

Better days to come, no doubt.

G'night,
R.
