From a gently snowy Wales...
Daff ate almost a flask full of sister's home made veg soup today - more 'mils' than the previous week combined - a breakthrough! Unfortunately, Mr Heinz is not in the same class regarding soups, so next 'infusion' not likely before the w/end (sis-in-law working rest of week and, as a nurse, it's 12 hour days...).
Other than that, no real change re memory versus reality I'm afraid.
PICC line still playing up, but scans show there are no clots blocking it, and it's correctly positioned - being addressed.
Bloods slowly dropping and Doc's want to do a marrow test, but not happy that Daff is in a position to be fully aware of what that entails and so are reluctant to proceed at the moment (and I can't do anything unless I get Power of Attorney for Health matters). May investigate them being able to go ahead under 'for the benefit of the patient'.....basically they want to see if the AML is sneaking back, or not.
A very mixed w/end this one...but hey, 'onwards and upwards' !!

Off to cook my sausage, mash and veg dinner !!

Not a lot different since friday then. I am wondering if Daff has said why she doesn't eat. Is she not hungry (well she is not using energy) is it the food is very bad? Is it because the medication is altering the taste and as Jean says, is she getting nourishment via some other way (tube)? To me the not eating is almost more worrying than the not being in the 'now'. I wonder if the hospital are looking into the cause. Daff always liked her food.


Anywa. buck up Daff, try and eat a bit more pretty please!!

Weather is cold but thank goodness we are snow free. I shall be paying a visit to the dragonlady later, she was 98 last week and is full of vim! lol
