As I remember it, a lot of hospital food now is highly spiced to disguise the fact that there is no salt in it. I found it difficult to select from the menu as I do not like spiced food. I got my OH to bring me Salt in. Other than that there is often a very solid bread roll as a sandwich.

Pleased that Daff's sister's lamb broth went down well, there is nothing like home cooking. If I remember rightly Daff loves her soups and broths.

Let;s hope that the doctors can get things sorted so that Daff can get home. I'm sure that she will start to eat a bit more then.

Sending you both lots of positive thoughts . Take care Mr Daff.

Love and best wishes to you both. Sallie.xxxx

Poor Daff must be feeling like " Rip Van Winkle " when she is properly awake and I'm not surprised she is desperate to get home .

I hope the transfusion helps her to pick up even more .

Thank you for the up-date ( as always ) , I don't always post but I do read Daffs thread every day and continue to send positive thoughts to you both .

Evening Mr Daff
Love and {{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}} for Daff
Glad she had some nourishing broth today.
Can her sister make a big batch and freeze some for you to take in each day?

So happy to see the waking is getting better even if she is confused by it all.
Seems such a long time even to me.

Take care

Linda :o) XxX

I am not surprised at her poor grasp of time and place. She has been out of it for so long and she is never going to get that time back. Glad to hear she is still progessing.

Wonderful news Mr.Daff.More Wakey Wakey Daff. You are getting there girl!Slowly but surely .xxxxxx

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 11 Dec 2010 19:09

Daff has 'properly' woken for a few hours both yesterday and today. Obviously she is very confused, and grasp of 'time' is at best flakey!! But it's definite progress.
Bloods down a bit, so needed transfusions today.
Appetite for hospital cuisine remains nil, and is being given fluids to halt dehydration.
Sister's lamb broth went down well today though.....but medication didn't unfortunately (tablet form).
Desperate to get home, understandably, and medics working towards that goal, but no time frame determined yet.

Cheers,

R.
