Thanks for explaining about Pobol y Cwm, Jenxx. I first started watching it in the late 1970's, but after many years absence from Wales, didn't pick it up again till 2000. Been watching it ever since.

Pobol y Cwm (People of the Valley) is a Welsh language television soap opera produced by the BBC since October 1974. It is the longest-running television soap opera produced by the BBC, transmitted on BBC Wales television between 1974 and 1982 and then transferred to the Welsh language television station S4C when it opened in that year. It was briefly shown in the rest of the UK in 1994 on BBC2, with English subtitles. It is continuously the most watched programme of the week on S4C.
