Plaiting might work, but there are no guarantees.

Ask at the school you work in, they will know all the tips .

well believe me I took one whiff of this stuff {obviously laced with chemicals} n flung it ~ she aint got none but if they ar prevelant in class I will try your conditioner method thanx ladies x

Mildred would it help if I plaited her hair til the danger was past?

Also does anyone know if my Mark gets em with his psoriasis will it be harder to treat?

That's what I was told too Mildred, in fact I have seen several infestations on less than clean hair.

I have never used the solutions either as I hate the thought of chemicals on a child's head.

Conditioner and a good comb through every time the hair is washed will keep them at bay.

Just to make a point

Lice live on clean or dirty hair, doesnt matter which because its the scalp they actually feed off.

Also if you find no lice or nits then you dont have to treat the child for head lice.

Doing so is a waste of time and money & isnt fair on the child.

Yes i have, my six year old has given them to me! We condition and comb our hair every wash, it keeps the little horrors at bay!!

i put oil on his or wax now... thats stopps the little critters ... not had any since, plus he has it short..
