THE UNICORN POEM
Be still, lonely heart,
The time of joining
Draws ever closer.

Wait with quietude
In the verdure
And the Unicorn
Will appear,
To lay his weary head
On virgin breast.
Sweet heart, dear heart,
Have no fear for the beast,
For the Hunter will bring no harm.

Where love alights
With truth and trust,
There forms a charmed circle.
Those kissed by lust or greed
Are powerless to enter -
Turning their backs to the light.
But those without fear
Are One with Love:
And made most gladly welcome.

"Once upon a time I believed all kinds of things.
I believed in horses with horns
and even in horses with wings!
I thought at the bottom of the garden
fairies would cavort and play.
I thought that under every bridge there lived a troll
and, when on my own, I stayed well away.
It never occurred to me then that
a fairy collecting teeth was a curious beast.
The Sandman, Father Christmas, dragons and elves,
these now seem just as implausible at least.
I no longer believe in transmogrifying frogs
or that princes can only exist in threes.
The very idea of Rumplestiltskin just makes me laugh.
I now know better than to believe in any of these.
But there is one thing that I believed in then
that even, no especially, today I still believe is true.
There are some who would say "It is just a fairytale"
but I believe in happy ever after , how about you"

Sounds like a pixie. Looks like a pixie. I think he's been in disguise as a bit of a cheeky monkey. But I can see through it and know he's a good lad.

I don't rightly remember.

He was a beardy bloke. With lickle pointy toes and too many tickly fingers for any normal person to count.
