Thanks TW

I've bookmarked the site for now, I'm on the laptop and the wireless has been unreliable lately, cutting out when it feels like it. I'll take a look in the next couple of days when it may have calmed down a bit, the traffic on the site not the laptop lol

Genes have given me permission to post this thread.

We have all seen the dreadful news of the Victoria Bushfire and seen pictures of the utter devastation over the weekend, watching the death toll numbers rising almost hourly, witnessing the sense of shock, grief, helplessness and bewilderment of those who have lost everything they ever had.

The Australian Government have pledged several million dollars in immediate aid, but what is needed more is assistance to the hundreds of now homeless and destitute survivors to rebuild their lives after this terrible tragedy.

Over here we can' thelp much, other than with thoughts and prayers....or can we?

The Australian Red Cross are appealing for donations, and you should be able to make a secure online donation on their site

http://redcross.org.au/default.asp

..follow instructions. Please be aware that there is huge demand on the site at the moment.

For Brits, there is no appeal visible on the BRC site so far which is why I'm telling you about the Aussie site.

Currently the exchange rate stands at just over 2 australian dollars to £1 stirling. Its a way we can help our friends down under. Every little helps

Thank you in advance

TW xx

UPDATE: British red cross have launched an appeal at last
