I'm not doing anything (as usual) have to stay in and clam the cats (or even calm them! LOL) when the frigin' fireworks start!!!!
What's worse are those dreadful New Year programmes!
Thank goodness there's a double dose of Father Ted that spans midnight.
Too damn cold to go out anyway.

Do you think we demand that it (New Year's Eve) is delayed for a couple of days next year we could get away with missing it altogether? ))))

now if I had somewhere to go out to and someone to go out with (if ya catch my drift) then I would be sooo excited about NYE, but same old same old, sitting indoors with the kids and not knowing if they will or won't make it til midnight - hmmm hardly soul stirring stuff lol

and (here I go opening another can of worms ... ) although the fireworks are fantastic and look stunning ... I can't help thinking of all the things that money would be better spent on

sorry lol

cant remember the last time I stayed up for New Year, sister used to ring every year till she got the message that we went to bed before it happened and she was waking us up.

Am hoping the eldest doesnt drink so much that she gets noisy cos I cant stand noise. Mind you hubby isnt feeling well hoping its just doing the decorating has strained him and nothing more serious so no doubt he will be huffing all night keeping me awake.

yessss I am at last a grumpy old woman

I will be going out tonight to the local pub, but only under protest. This is the first new year without my dad and I know that mum doesn't want to go out on her own. I've also got a stinking cold and am very grumpy, so should be fun!

Oh, yes, I'm working tomorrow too!

Happy new year to you all...lol...

New Year's Eve does nothing in particular for me, but New Year's Day has taken on greater significance since my brother died.
He died 6 days after his birthday and 1st January is 6 days after mine, so each new year marks an extra year for me, that he didn't have.

I'll stay up at home with the family, but they'll all be in bed by about 20 past 12.

You aint miserable Jean! - I feel much the same as you; you have to have an ounce of optimism though, else the bucket will be dry won't it?

You meet the Fockers, eat something naughty but nice, and get snuggled down under the duvet before midnight and off to the land of nod))))) I think I shall be doing very much the same.
