Evening everyone
Still very warm here.
Managed to fill about 9 pots with bulbs and topped off with pansies. I also repotted a dicentra(Bleeding Heart) and an azelia in new compost to give them a chance through the winter.

The washing is dry waiting to be ironed, maybe later.

I did a spring clean in the lounge and moved all the furniture round, hubby will think he is in a different house eh?

He's on his way home, but I guess the traffic is heavy with everyone going away while the weather is good.

Evening All !

I must have done an excellent job of cutting the grass......a bus load of tourists stopped and asked if they could play bowls ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

The smell of fresh cut grass is magic :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I think I deserve a BIG glass of Irn-Bru (and perhaps a cigar later) :-D :-D :-D

Morning All.

Linda...... as hubby got Bronchitis ? it sounds like he has some sort of inflammation in his chest with that cough, not nice for him . he'll have to visit the docs as it might go on for several weeks.......poor dear...have you got a Humidifier ? as that helps in the bedroom at night .

I went to the Eye Infirmary yesterday........well Step Mother's has got no worse than the last time, so I asked the consultant if she was partially blind and her answer was NO.....so even though she tells me she cant see I'll have to pass that off with a smile
;-).

Awhh Stevey....fancy not letting daughter go to her guides weekend

:-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S I bet you were the worlds worst Dad ,I bet you wished you had let her go ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Morning everyone
Well Hubby is on his way to the airport. He is just a little anxious. Not sure what to expect as he has worked there for nearly 40 years. He knows there will be a presentation, top bosses are rumoured to be coming. I asked if it might be the Queen LOL.
Definately the end of an era.
Washing is on. the weather is forecast for good. Hot and sunny here up to 29C. I have bulbs to plant and pansies to get my winter flowers under way, but the geraniums are still going strong. So I will leave them in place for a while.

Have a lovely day everyone

Morning All !

Hope all are well . :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Linda, Hubby needs a couple of days off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dermot.....Listening !
I was very firm with my children about listening.
I would put the message to them that perhaps one day when they were told information someones live could depend on getting it right
My daughter still goes on about how I stopped her going to a Guide Weekend Camp because she had got information wrong.
And I now hear her saying things to her own children that I said to her. So my hard work must have sunk in.

Hoping for good weather today. I feel up to cutting the grass around my property. Probably wont do a very good job but I'll give it a go

;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Have a good day ya all !

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

"John said that he received a pay-rise today which pleased him greatly. To celebrate, he spent £25.10 for a pair of gloves for his beloved.

Unfortunately, there were too small & he will have to exchange them on Monday afternoon. He needs the receipt as proof of purchase".

For a bit of fun, read the above simple item to any younger family member & then ask them to repeat it as accurately as possible. Sounds easy - but it is not so. This just tests the youngster's power of listening & memory retention - which the experts say is not too good these days.

Wow Dermot I could actually read that without too much effort!!

Hubby still poorly, no energy and slept a lot through the day, as the coughing is keeping him awake at night.

Managed to cut back more shrubs in the garden.

Been doing some research.

Rita,

When I was in Key West in Florida there was a Bikers Rally. All these big Harley Davison Bikes and Trikes. Nearly all the owners were professional folk. Doctors, Lawyers, dentists etc. They are the only ones that can afford the Bikes. An expensive hobby.

Evening George.

I used to enjoy a cold beer many years ago. It was called Watneys Draft Red Barrell. I don't htink it's around now.
Stay off the crisps......they are fattening :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I hope my dont arm dose not swell up when I have that injection ? the flu one just makes me feel weak for a day but the last time I had swine flu I felt really ill.

Stephen I think my being tired a lot is due to old age. I am one day older than I was yesterday.

years ago we had a motor cycle (well we had a lot over the years ) but friends had a Harley Davison and they travelled all over American on that.
that was the one my husband wanted but was out of our reach. I always get a funny feeling when I see the Harley Davison motor cycles on the road.last year when in Weymouth they had a Motor cycle rally and there were lots of Harleys among them I stood for ages watching them running up and down beach road.

Hello Maddie,

I had to read that twice.......I thought it said....'twice as rich' .

Enjoyed my Cigar. I have some others coming this weekend, my niece brings me them from her trips abroad. It's my only vice......so why not ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Waiting on Billy Connelly coming on the telly at 9pm. He is travelling Route 66. My wife loves it. She wants to cross America on a motortrike. I'll follow in a Limo :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Evening All !

All gone AWOL again eh !

Rita, Sleep is a great healer, but if you think that something has caused this wee episode it might be worth mentioning it to the Doctor, better safe than sorry.

What a crazy day for the weather here. Rain, high wind, flat calm, sunshine,
hot and muggy :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

Had my tea, now for a coffee and out to my shed for a nice big cigar :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I expect George is sitting somewhere maybe OUTSIDE A PUB WITH A LARGER IN HIS HAND AND A PACKET OF CRISPS. LOL

the weather is so nice now it is warm and we now have a brilliant blue sky.
I knew you were about Maddie as I had seen you on threads.
Maddie maybe your jab was two in one again ?flu and swine flu lots of people here was having problems last year after having the combiine jab many had a flu like happening with aching bones as well.
I dont know what mine is, ?our health centre have three lots of doctors surgeries in one building one has five doctors the next has five doctors and the next have 8 doctors. not all on duty at the same time . usually two doctors from each surgery on duty during the day. we are given a time so we dont have to sit and wait for the injection.

I got up this morning had breakfast then felt tired and giddy so went to lay down till it had passed. but fell asleep and woke with a start I had slept for 1 and 1/2 hours, I am ok now. so I dont know what happened,
