A week if you've made the marzipan yourself. I take it your's is from a packet so just a day or so

one tip before I go though.....don't use nails...use screws, you may want to re-ajust the position of the icing

I know a plasterer who really is great at icing cakes.Friend of mine's daughter had her 3 tiered wedding cake iced by him..............hands Kitty a trowel.......steady hand now ;O)

LOL

The easiest way is to buy a packet of ready to mix Royal Icing sugar.

This saves mixing your own and is so easy. You just have to add water as directed on the packet to make Royal Icing. Otherwise you have to use ordinary icing sugar and faff about with eggs and glycerine and such like. I stopped making my own when my husband was very ill with blood cancer and I worried about raw eggs.

The roll out icing is not a particularly pleasant flavour in my opinion but it works nicely for making little decorations or plaques.

Oooooh play dough, I love play dough:)))

I know that isn't edible though...........one of ours threw up a lump of it at the dinner table once.....Yuk!!!!!!


Edit......................she was playing with it earlier that day, I didn't make her eat it, honest:))
