Morning All....

Took me a while to figure out how to add to the thread, what a change...!!...again...!!

First of all thank you Carla for keeping everyone posted n thanks all for your lovely messages n get well cards. it's been lovely to know you care.

Hev, sorry Graham hasn't been in touch, he's been going straight from work to the hospital n not getting in til late.

It's great to be home, got home about 8 pm last night, haven't slept much - strange bed n all that...lol

What happened was for the past few months I've had, unaware, an Infection called 'Helicobacter Pylori', it's been ulcerating the lining of my stomach which has casued it to bleed over a period of time. Last Friday I was suddenly taken ill at work, my body went into shock after giving up trying to function with such little blood, when I got to hospital my heart rate was 160, my poor heart was trying to provide my vital Organs with the blood it needed but over time I had lost 4 pints of blood so it started to give up. If my boss hadn't have driven me to hospital I would have slipped into a coma after my vital Organs started to shut down to protect themselves. Soooo....had a blood transfusion & an endoscopy (Yuk) to check where the bleed was n that it wasn't anything more sinister - which it wasn't - n now home on 2 different anti-biotics & an acid-supressing drug to eradicate the infection, if treament works well it should be cured. Have to be re-tested in 3 months.

Was messed about in hospital abit which prolonged the diagnosis - they cancelled my endoscopy 3 times, so was left not knowing why or from where i had lost so much blood.

I have also had an allergic reation to the medication n have an unsightly rash. Not feeling 100% yet but getting there.

Anyway, am home now n on the mend. Going back to work Monday :o)

Thanks again for all your get well wishes....they've touched me.

Jules in Essex. xxxxxxx
