Well, I thought I had a heavy breather on phone, then this little croaky voice saying hello Caz. Poor Joyce has got a heavy cold and says her chest hurts. She has been up most of the night with pain in her legs, not a good start to her holiday I think.
Her son and grandchildren were over the moon to see her and she got loads of hugs and kisses. Going to take the children to see Santa later, then her granddaughter wants to take her to Meadowhall tomorrow, (is it Meadowhall in Sheffield?).

If you get to read this Joyce, please take it easy, I know you have things planned but you have to look after your health love.

Caz xx

Edited to say hello Jude, nice to see you back.

Oh dear, bless her, but would have thought walking around a shopping mall was not the best thing to do with her legs - rest and more rest.

Shops are shops where ever you go these days - especially shopping malls.

Take good care of yourself as Caz has said.

Poor Joyce, but we all know what she is like and no way will she disappoint the little ones.

I am sure she will love to be in the atmosphere of the English shops for a change and hope she will rest as often as necessary and not let that cold get the better of her.

Take care, Dutch, and enjoy yourself, bet there were lots of tears when you all met up.

Listening to Joyce on the phone this morning I really don't think she will be doing much walking, and not out of choice either.
She was thrilled with her Christmas cake Julia made for her, iced and decorated as well.
Liz is right, even if she has to crawl on her hands and knees she will see Santa with her g grandchildren.
I was wondering if it would be possible for son or d i l to take her to their GP as an emergency patient on Monday. It might be possible for her to get some relief for her cramp.

Julia, thanks for doing the cake for Joyce, knew she would be thrilled.
I bet she hasn't been taking her tablets properly either, she nearly forgot some so hope she has them all with her and will check what she is taking. I thought she already had tablets for the cramp, maybe if she saw an English doctor they might sort her out better.
Bet Jan is worrying about her.

That's what I thought Liz, I think her own doctor doesn't really listen to her and fobs her off. I am also worried about her chest, she might be able to get something for it, it's not as if she can go to bed here and stay there till well. She is ringing either this morning or tonight, we keep it short as she is using her mobile but I will let you know how she is.

Hi all, Joyce has rung, she has a sore throat now. Don't know where she went yesterday but she is taking the children today to see Santa, all the family are going. She has promised her son that she will use one of the wheelchairs they have there, so at least she will rest her legs. Good news about last night, she slept all through, she took some Paracetamol before going to bed. She is going to have to call in a chemist today as she has forgotten her diabetis tablets, they should let her have enough to last her till she gets home.

Pleased to hear Dutch is with her family , but sorry to hear about how poorly she's been feeling ,
I don't think the chemist's are allowed to " lend" tablets out any more , especially if there is a GP's surgery open , to save a wasted journey she may be better getting an appointment to see her sons GP, & his doctor giving her a prescription, Years ago you could borrow from chemist's but it's against the law now if there is a GP's surgery open ,
Hope you get sorted out Dutch , What is it your short of ? Metformin ?
Take care
