I must admit had the same thought running through my head - like Mick - although of course I knew this thread is about real furry little squirrles!!! [as did Mick I have no doubt] To be honest, I love watching the squirrels in my back garden - they do get up to some antics and are delightful to watch. They had better keep away from my bulbs though!!!

Look, I read what was on some mucky bogs recently, and although i did do a double take when I read the title, I soon realised that the post was genuine coming from a genuine poster.

Although I have seen deliberate slurs on ex members through thinly veined threads posted, I'm confident this isnt one.

So please don't assume everyone who posts about rodents in their attic, or moles in their holes etc etc have any whiff of interested enthusiasm over people no longer on this site yet still try to hold judge & duty over it.

Ps........ as for "political" sensitivities on this site, neither are members of this site anymore, so why should people tip toe around frightened to talk about innocent things which may or may not sound if its connected to the tripe posted on other sites.

Not everyone is "involved" in the war elsewhere !

Oh Debs - get rid of the "rats with tails" love pdq.

We had to have our place rewired cos they ate their way through the electrics!!

I hate the blooming things - with a vengence!!!

Julie,

I don't think Mick had the wooden spoon out, and that he likely did read what Deb had written!

However, there are plenty who wouldn't read the whole post and, having seen the title, be at the request review button making accusation of allegorical threads. And, knowing Mick that's probably what he meant!

I had squirrels in my loft once, and I know the nighmare Deb is having, but I'm also aware of current "political" sensitivities........

For the last few months I have heard "sounds".

At first I thought the sound was a deer on the deck and would jump out of bed to have a look. Nothing.

Now our daughter is home she hears it too. The only thing is...it is coming from the attic!
The noise was so loud that we figured that it was a raccoon.

We had a look at the outside of the house, but could not see any obvious entry points. We took down all the tree limbs that overhung the roof so the raccoon wouldn't be able to get on the roof, but could jump off on their way out.

Hubby went up into the attic to have a look during the day, so as to see any light (their way in) up in the dark attic. Nothing.

BUT, a nosy squirrel came up to him to find out what he was doing!

So! we have squirrels living in our attic. They are regular. They run above my bedroom between 7.15 qnd 7.30am.

Hubby put rat poison up there last Sunday. I know, not my first choice to get rid of them, but all the electrical system to the house is up there.

Apparently squirrels are not partial to rat poison! They are still having a gay old time up there. They were romping above the ensuite this morning.

Plan B.
We have set a "live trap" tonight (not cheap at $60) and have baited it with almonds and peanut butter.

It's all my fault! I fed and named them during the summer. Nutty and Peanut may you soon be living somewhere else!
