It was forty-five years ago today,in Dallas that President Kennedy was assasinated.

If it was a weekday would have been at infant school. But I have never remembered ever seeing anything about it (as a child).

then running outside to tell my father-

I was working in the Export Dept of a Company in Harold Hill, Essex.
Everyone was shocked when they heard the news, and I felt cold like ice.

I was watching Hughie Green In that Talent Show I cant remember what it was called now been a long time. Ahhhhhhhhhh Opportunity Knocks me thinks if my memory serves me right

if I remember correctly it came through on a Friday night - I was living in rooms with my lovely OH - the announcement was made and the screen went blank for ages

It was a Friday evening Ann, you are right. I was waiting for my then boyfriend to arrive (he was in the RAF) but he didnt show (no great loss there - lol).

hmmmm I was 10 months old - a very fat baby (nickname was podge) so I suspect I was eating or sleeping!!

In the lounge at my parents house. I was watching TV and I thought it was Coronation Street, but I could be wrong, when the newsflash came on. Mum was upstairs and I remember shouting to her "He's dead". She came running down because she thought I meant her budgie!!!!

I was only two , so don't remember at all but it is interesting to see other peoples memories .

I was in the living room with my mum getting ready fr bed. My Dad had been having a wash in the kitchen listening to the radio and he came in and told us. I will always remember it because I was eight years old and it was the first time I had ever heard the word 'assassinated' and I had to ask what it meant.

It is one of those times I will never forget, like being in a car on the M5 coming back from the Ideal Home Exhibition and hearing on the radio that Elvis was dead, the day that Diana died and 9/11.

I was at night school learning shorthand & Typing when someone came in and told us they cancelled the class and let us all go home

I was 3 so can't remember anything about it.

I can't remember hearing it had happened, I was ten,considerably younger than Mick.

I can remember Millicent Martin singing a song about it the next night on That Was The Week That Was.

I was 13 and at home on my own watching tv, mum and dad were at bingo, when the news flash came on, I can remember crying. Mum and dad knew when they came in
