They were Sandie,
My Mum had me and my bro at 9lbs 6 and 10lbs 5, so its in the genes!

Mine were all posterior which caused the initial problems with births, I would have loved to deliver naturally,

Good luck Elizabeth - what an exciting time.

I had twin boys by elective c section at 38 weeks - absolute whoppers 7lb 7oz & 6lb 14 oz

and then little sister at 39 weeks again by elective c section 8lb 14 oz.

No wonder my abs have seen better days :o)

PS (I'm not too posh to push in case you're wondering, my twins were both big (were both due to be 9lb'ers but I could neither move nor eat much for the last 2 weeks so they didn't reach their full "potential" (thank God) , and also the 1st one was breach so they didn't want me to even try labour.
My little girlie was a decent size and was happily splitting my pelvis into two for the last 3 months of my pregnancy, so labour would have been "very difficult" and because of already having a section I was likely to need another one anyway. She was due on Christmas Day and I thought if I took their advice and had her a week early we'd be home in plenty of time for Christmas. As it happened she was in special care and we didn't get home til 9:30pm christmas eve)

Elizabeth (if you're not asleep by now after my wittering on) make sure you let us know how you get on

Good luck Elizabeth I hope everything goes perfect for you.
I have four children who I love to bits, they have brought me so much pleasure plus 11 grandchildren between them.
Back in those days without scans we never knew how the baby was doing until it was born. Now I have seen pictures of my grandchildren before they were born.
Take care Irene.
