Ahhh Lovely Lara . . you gave me a good laugh . . TLR too . . it reminded us of the phone calls I get from him when he goes shopping for me . . I always give a list . . but he forgets to take it . . teeheee You dont go getting yourself into a tizz over the darn Lotto . . as Sir T said . . its all for fun . . and we all have to have our priorities in the right place . . yours is to take care of you for us.
Well the other Ozi's have left this evening . . so we is on our own . . and I am glad about that - now I can spend this week catching up with friends instead of entertaining the other Sydney sider wife. We had a nice enough time . . but now I am going to be flat chat catching up with friends so as not to offend anyone.
This morning we went to the hairdressers . . got the full head, shoulders and arms massage . . cremebath (oils massaged into scalp and then hot towels) finished off with the hairdos . . and all for 32,000 rp (about AUD$4.50) Twas really lovely thank you . . :) Then we went for YumCha for lunch . . ate sooo well . . and the bill for the 4 of us, incl drinks and sweet (yummy tapioca and mango pud) came to 230,500rp . . about AUD$32
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to stretch our dollar that far at home.
Mary . . When it comes to retail therapy honey . . a girl can never get enough . . teeheee
Merle honey, glad you were able to go out . . would be driving you stir crazy staying at home all the time. . but take care of yourself and get rid of that infection real quick . . sending love, prayers and positive thoughts for you . .
Most folks who have been to Singas love it . . so few venture to Jakarta that they dont know what they are missing. It is not a tourist destination to many, though the Dutch come here in droves . . guess it is because Indonesia is so much a part of their history. I enjoy showing the place to new visitors . . they are usually blown away by how "green" the place is . . they do grow lovely big trees here . . and masses of palms - they need them too because polution levels are pretty high. This evening it was very clear after the rain . . I could see right out to sea in the north towards the Thousand Islands . . where the cargo ships are all anchored waiting to get into port. In all the years we have been coming here . . we still haven't gone out to explore the islands . . must nudge it up the list of things to do.
Well have rambled enough . . best get on with catching up.
Take care all . . stay well and give the grin gear a good workout
luv Laurie xo

Merle Hope you are resting and getting a lot of tlc.. Bet you enjoyed getting out of the house and having a bit of retail therapy..just don't overdo it..hope the blood tests are showing an improvement..
Marie I can email you through GR,, I only have to click on your name on here and it takes me to a message box and I can message you and it is private,,This is how you can contact anyone who you think is a match in your tree..Just click on the tree owner or message poster and you can contact them..easy..I will send you a message so that you can see how it works..
Sandra How goes it mate..Don't hog the rain, remember to share it with us..

Well Tony and Wattlers all, Orstralia it is then cause being swung from the yard arm doesn't sound Like sumfin I would enjoy being quite weird about having things put round me neck as I am lol Mike is taking me down the street with him in the morning on his visit to the physio especially to get the ticket I will tie some string around me finger so as I won't forget when I get to the newsagency what I am there for ok
Marie good to see you on here and hope the halter will work out your problem so as they can fix it all up I have only one thing to say to you though how could ya give away the mighty magpies and go now for the swans Tony and I are just slightly maggie fans. teeheehee my hubbie's mad geelong and my Pa played for hawthorn before they joined the league. so soft spot for geelong and the hawks but not when they play the pies .
Hi Loz will do that if we can arrange it would be lovely to meet the boys at long last too and we also had tea at the other pub the Belverdere own and it was nice too as usual can't remember the name of it . Hello to the Dr Printeth at Mudgee have you any pills for memory please Doc I have a really crook one , like the day I was in the supermarket trying to find these capsules that I'd heard about and Iwas laughing away and this bloke gave me aweird look so I said" I am not mad mate just looking for the capsules that are supposed to be good for your memory BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER THEIR NAME "he laughed and said "well you find them show them to me cause I need some too" I did get them ginko and something beginning with B but they gave me shocking headaches so the Dr said to stop taking them apparently they increase the circulation to the brain too much for some peeps, so I now know what is making me memory bad no flippen circulation at all to the brain pmsl maybe the blood couldn't find it haha
hi Sandra it was a nightmare I thought I was going to have to ring Cassie and tell her to come and get me as it was no use going to sydney without a connection to albury ,and I don't get enough sleep without sleeping at the airport Hi Fred good on you finding your Baird lot in NSW and you already have your xmas menu worked out good on you mate for the first time for about 32 yrs I am going out for xmas lunch in queensland at the boat club near where our daughter lives, should be nice I hope no work at least then we will have a very laid back tea probably vegemite sangars for most of us after eating ourselves silly at lunch and those that over drink will be snoring I am guessing glad you and Liz are going along well.
must go "who do you think you are"is on tonight good grief I might be asked that soon if my memory doesn't come good come on Lew I need some of those special brew tablets purple with pink spots would be good Love Lara

Lara...Lotto Mmmmmm.......Wattlers.......shall we ang her from the yard arm. Perhaps a quick keel-haul...... or sent to the Colony of Orstrayler fer a 7 year stint in Van Diemans land.?...for forgetting the Lotto.......lol Barbs great, great was sent out from Ireland for 7 years for just nicking a hanky....so a miss on the Lotto is gotta be worth 14 years at least......plus G.S.T of 1 year ( for Government Tax purposes only )...........:>)))))))
Lara. Most important thing is you are o'k mate,and me thinks you have enough to worry about. The Lotto was formed as a bit of fun....... and thats why we agreed never to use the same numbers each week...Re:Quick pick ..... In the real world we are all busy with our lives, and ups and downs.Some of us have more downs than ups at the moment.....lol If you want to buy a Lotto for next week or whenever, then no probs....... Jest means we have more chances......:>)))
Loz. Love reading your travel tales. Singa's is one of Barb's and my favourite places.
Daughter number two ( Kizza ) hubbie ( Dazza ) soldier boy, is off again next year, for a stint on the Solomon Islands and then posted elsewhere. She sounded quite pleased he was going,again.!!!!!!!!......lol
Hope everyones had a great weekend.
Tony....:>))

Tonyand all the Wattlers I just came on and read the reminder for the lotto and I am so sorry I completly forgot all about it I have no real excuse except my memory is atrocious What can I do now I am so sorry
I flew home Thursday and it was was pretty awful as Cassie had to drop me at the airport and leave me there for my fight at 12 at 10 o'clock and at 12 they said plane was delayed and at 12:30 they said it was canceled altogether and then they said go and get your luggage from downstairs and book in again and then they paged me and said for me to go to gate 46 and we were leaving from 39 so I had to race off down the terminal like a mad woman and then when I got there they said all that were getting another plane from Sydney were going another flight that was leaving there and then when we got to Sydney the other plane was waiting for us and had to get straight on it I got to Albury at 5:30 and then by the time I got home not only was I pooped to put it mildly but slightly exhausted I spent most of Friday in bed but as I said no real excuse And even though Tony sent me a reminder I just opened my lap top and it still didn't make me remember when I saw Lotto until I opened it wondering whether we had won anything . Please let me know what you want me to do like should I get an extra ticket for next Saturday or for one during the week or what Please ??? love Lara

Sun is blazing in Jakarta (as per usual), after an amazing lightening display last night. Some of the city got a good downpour but we only had a little bit of the wet stuff here. We had planned on dinning by the beach at a seafood place last night . . but the rain put paid to that . . that met with my approval because it meant we got to go to one of my fav's . . serve the best soft shell crab I have ever tasted . . of course I had to have an extra serve just for the Dr Printheth . . teeheee
TLR took me back to Sarinah yesterday and we finished of the Chrissy shopping . . I am really thrilled with my little finds . . got my snuggles with Ryan, Reagan and Rubes . . but will have more time with them during the week while TLR is at work.
Just hit 7am here so best go get showered and ready for the day ahead
Take care and keep grinning . . luv Laurie

Marie from Bathurst HI June Tony Laurie and Mary, We had a great storm last night filled my tank to overflowing got 12 mm of rain didnt cool it down much as today was quite hot. June welcome back to Oz and yes i have found everyone is very nice.
Mary How are you going to email me? Bathurst and Orange have the same Phone Book but you will have to know my Surname you are probably a lot better at this computer stuff than I am. Is there some way I can get my emaile address to you and still be safe.
Tony I loved Melbourne for their gardens also the climate is so good for Gardening, not like the cruel winters we have here.
Tassie Devil, actually I dont have a high regard for him at all.I think they should find a replacement and give him to some one else but I dont think any one would pick him up. He needs to retire, he is past his use by date.
Its time I went to bed Night All
Marie.

Welcome to Marie from Bathurst, these wattlers are all very friendly, as you have found. A nice bit of rain overnight -we need it, hope there will be more tonight. Very hot yesterday -I hate summer! Good morning from Jakarta . . It's only 5.30am . . and the human chainsaw is working well - not that it woke me . . I just had enough sleep and couldn't just lay there anymore. We dined here in the hotel last night so it was an early night after a big day tramping thru the shops. Another Sydney sider wife is here so we went to Sarinah for some Christmas shopping yesterday - a complex with several floors of traditional arts and crafty stuff . . found a couple of things I hadn't seen before . . liked them so much I have asked TLR to take me back teeeheeee We just touched down on Thursday evening and were advised we had an hour and half to get ourselves to the hotel and ready to go to dinner at our fav Japanese where the food was as good as ever . . . so this is the first few mins I have had to even get the puter out of the bag.
Marg and her hubby had to make a quick dash to Oz yesterday so haven't caught up with her, her OH's sister is not well in Brissie . . but we will go visit the children this afternoon . . Rubes is apparently telling everyone Aunty Lollie is coming . . looking forward to the snuggles.
Where is yah Merle ?? getting a tad concerned as haven't seen you on for a while . . hope the leg is on the improve.
Well best get off here and go make a cuppa . . think TLR must be needing a cuppa . . his throat must be dry after cutting down all those trees . . teehee
luv to all Laurie xo

Marie When I am next going to Orange I will email you and get your address and pop in for a coffee..would love to meet you to.. Lew our Country "Printhess" lives in Mudgee so she might one day say hi also..if you can cope with a mad Printhess that is ...Nothing sane about this lot.. The man in the white coat is called often..but I will say a nicer lot would be hard to find and any help you need on your tree you just have to holla as a few of us have Ancestry and some have heaps of discs and are only to happy to see what they can find for you..Most of us have met in person and a great time is had by all when we get together..We usually end up with a sore jaw from laughing so much..
Fred Send Tony the details of your Charles Baird, as I have had a look but he is not there,,and Tone is much better at it than me when it comes to OZ..and he might be on one of his discs..Also could the name of the ship be NAUTULUS AND NOT NANTULUS..????just wandering..
Well its time to think about dinner,so see ya later..

Next time we go to Orange I will have to stop and have a coffee with you..We usually have Christmas in Orange but I think this year we are staying home for Christmas.. Have had a halter monitor a few times and they are a breeze,,no problems..Sounds like you have not been well so do look after yourself and glad that you have the gestapo watching over you...hee hee hee...

Afternoon Wattlers
Thought it was time I poked my head back in. Have been busy taking pics of cemetery, got an idea going about with another person on taking pics of all the headstones and putting on DVD and maybe sell one or 2 to recoup our money lol.
I dont want summer to come :-((( it was 30 degrees here in the north of the state yesterday and its not even summer yet :-( Garden is coming along nicely and the raspberry canes have survived my attempt to grow them, so must be doing something right, you would never know my Grands were ag labs hee hee.
~~~ to Starlight, I think Ive seen you on here, or the old thread at least before.
Hello Marie, mmmm another Swan supporter, tell me what do you think of Barry Hall ???? Just curious cause someone else always tries to palm him of to other clubs mine included. Im a bit of a footy fanatic too, but dont listen to the others when they say Im obsessed with my team lol. Just a bit about me, yes I have an EX too, 3 kids 20,17 and 14 y/o's have a bit of a heart prob and Im always being told to be careful or should I be doing that??? Especially form my parents. I am happily unmarried for the last 6 years to David who was originally a Melbournian and is now a Taswegian, Im a born and bred Tasmanian :-)
Lara hope you have had a great time in Qld, yes our weather is all up the putt, 30 already and Sat expecting snow on the highlands *shakes head* never know we might get snow like Annabel will have for chrissy, lucky person.
~~~~ to Fred, hope you and Liz are both well.
Ok coffee time, and David should be coming through the door any minute, so I will leave it at this for now.
~~~~ to all. Have an nice day :-) Cheers Sue
Hi Marie,
Welcome to the Wattlers. I live in Canberra along with Vonny and JA (not sure if JA has popped in recently).
We had a lovely day here too although it was quite warm out in the sun. Guess that's what happens when summer is almost here.
I might have to plant some more vegie seeds as the last lot haven't done anything. Only planted a few as last year I was over-run with tomatoes and OH is the only one in this house who eats them - lol. Of course have to remember to water them. Vonny's salad leaves sprung up so I have 3 plants on the go.
Have fun with the halter monitor. I needed to have one last year - didn't find it too inconvenient. Anyway hope you get good results and the family can relax their guard.
Lara - hope you've had a lovely time with Cassie and been able to recharge the batteries. Say hi to Mike and Josh. Hope things are going great with Mike's knee. Won't be long and you'll be heading back to Qld.
Merle - hope there's been lots of improvement for you with the knee. Glad Noeline is spoiling you and you make sure you enjoy it - lol
~~~~~~~~ to all the other Wattlers. Hope everyone is keeping well.
Catch up ron Gwenda xx
