My gran used to buy us pink & white nougat with nuts in it when she came on a Wednesday.

Going of the sweet subject now,

In our garden we had a tall thin flower with small pink petals,
Well we used to suck the stem, and sweet juice used to come out .
That's when we could not afford to buy sweets !!
I have'nt seen these flowers from that day to this.....
Wonder why ???

Jelly milk bottles.I think it was Pascals or Clarnico, there's a blast from the past for you,who made peppermint creams. There were plain ones and chocolate covered ones that came in a green box with cellophane on top. They were called peppermint creams I think.

Was it Eiffel Tower lemonade powder?

I always liked the thick chocolate with nuts in from Woolworths, which you bought like toffee in chunks.

During the war it used to come in, and everyone queued for it. Sweet coupons had to be given up for it.
