Hi Everyone
Thank you so much for all your kind messages.
It has been a very long day the journey up there was horrible. The Doctor has had a meeting with my surgeon at kings collage and they have decided that i will benefit from a course of radiotheraphy aswell.
Before that can start i have to have a mask made and that will take a couple of weeks so in total now my treatment will be spread over 8 - 10 weeks ,
I am really not looking forward to this now but it has to be done.
Thanks again to you all

With all these positive thoughts going to you I'm sure you will have the strength to get through the next few weeks. It's not an easy time for you and your family and it must be hard to worrying about your daughter and how she will cope. You may be surprised at how resilient she is and how much strength you will gain from her. Take care.

Good luck, Angie, will be thinking about you.

Trisha Goddard has been fighting breast cancer and said she coped by continuing her exercise routine daily, and didn't take one day off work.
I quote "I booked my radiotherapy apptmts for 8am because the hospital is across the road from the park and I'll be able to go for a run straight after. A few days after my op my surgeon saw me running past him in the rain!"

She had a lump removed from her breast, and a second op to remove lymph nodes. She apparently said she believes her fitness and running regime has helped her to cope with a gruelling course of chemotherapy.

You have to admire her. She lives just outside Norwich and has obviously been treated at our local hospital.

Hi Angie,

I had 6 months of chemotherapy last year for breast cancer but I'm still here to tell the tale.

I have no idea what chemo you are having or for what, and all chemos are different with different side effects, so my experiences will not be the same as yours, but I just wanted to say good luck, it's do-able, and you WILL get through it!

Be good to yourself, and don't fret too much about your daughter seeing you feeling ill, just be honest with her (I don't think you mentioned her age), and accept any help that's going from friends and neighbours.

Good luck and get well soon

Dee
