.............

Im still shaking, Honestly im really NOT scared of spiders and I usually just catch them and put them outside....But this one...was something else, It was so black like velvet and it absailed down from the celing in my bathroom really slowly and run across the floor....It made me feel sick.

I think it came out of my daughters suitcase from Spain she has been out all week and only emptied her case last night. I was told this afternoon by my hubby that when he got up at 3am to go to work he said that he had walked into a web that was across the kitchen door it covered his face, I joked that there might be a spider in the house.....god it was huge, Im afraid that all the screaming made my hubby jump out of bed and plug in the hoover.....I thought I was going to pass out, I dont even want my hoover no more.

It's probably a simple garden spider Rosi - they tend to come indoors this time of the year!

Get your slipper out and wallop it if you cannot abide them - you are a darn slight bigger than it love, and it wont send it's friends round to harrass you!!!

* shudders *

wishes she hadn't looked at this thread - 2 on spiders in one night :-(((

did anyone see that spider in the paper last week? a camel spider that a soldier brought back by accident from (I think) Afghanistan? It bit the family dog and killed it ... This thing is HUGE and can run at 10 miles an hour. I was calculating how long it would take to run from Colchester to Walthamstow lol.

I will be checking all my nooks and crannies before I go to bed tonight. One of the only times I wish there was a man in the house! Although ex used to moan like hell if I wanted one got rid of.
