Have to agree with TW there Caz she has a way of bringing history alive. I'm sure if you tried one you'd be hooked.

Also, as TW says the Boudica series by Manda Scott is fantastic if you like historical fiction and probably even if you don't !!!xx

Caz, most of her books are modern AND historical...she has this wonderful knack of having the past blend with the present....brilliant. (Barbara Erskine that is)

Hi Muffs,

Are her novels historical? I used to adore reading and would read for hours. Now my time is more limited and i have discovered the net lol I dont have the same time.

I like Dan Brown and like most historical, real life books, also I love a good scary one!!

As you already know, I share your passion for any books written by Barbara Erskine...and my favourite is House of Echoes.

As you also know, I am currently reading your recommended choice of the Boudica series by Manda Scott...which, if anyone else is looking in and likes historical fiction, this really fits the bill and I would recommend them.

*waits for Hayley to jump on the thread and call us a couple of geeks again*

I thoroughly enjoyed Lady of Hay. I love Dorothy Dunnett's Francis Crawford series too. They certainly take some concentration and have so much in them. I will read anything about anything and Dick Frances is another favourite. Not Mills and Boon romances though. Jean

I'm currently reading the latest offering by my very favourite author Barbara Erskine (hence my thread yesterday about not being around for a couple of days too much lol) however, I'm bolting through it and I want to savour it a bit more so I am trying NOT to read it at the mo.

Who is your favourite author and book that they have written? xx

My two best Barbara Erskine books are Daughters of Fire and Lady Of Hay xx
