Treat yourself to one of those high pressure water pistols and pop them from an upstairs window.!!
Cats can be unruly if there are too many, they each need their own space, and yours will get too scared to go out.
I have to go out with my big torch to scare off the foxes before my mini yorkie will go out at night !

I might well invest in a water gun.........my grand children can play with it...........good excuse to have it in the garden...........lol

This cat in question is a clever one , he knows I'm full of ill intent but I'll get him one of these days.

My cats are already scared to go out ,especially old Toby , he is 17 and a bag of bones.........if that bas**rd gets him I think it would kill him.
Glad your little Yorkie has back up against the fox Lindsey.

I know it sounds very very cruel but is there anybody that could sort of put him in a car and take him away, like kind of cat napping, do you think she would miss just one???

Amanda2003 Report 23 May 2008 22:58

Trouble is Teresa he is far to wary to be caught....he is terrorising the neighbourhood. He isn't a friendly cat that hangs about for fuss off strangers........and I ended up shouting " I want to f***ing kill him " to her this very day...........she has three other toms ,but they arn't a problem like George is.........well not so far.

Well then go back to the hose pipe, water pistol, bucket of water and the RSPCA suggestions and just hope the little bu*****ger disappears. Good luck and i keep my fingers crossed for you. xxxx

Problem is, is she only gets George done, one of the other toms will take over.
Not only is he a pain in the ar*e, he could spread feline aids.
I've got 3 cats (1 female and 2 male), all neutered, yet there is still a hierarchy between them.
I had a neighbourhood Tom who decided our downstairs bathroom window was a good place to come in the house, I saw him on the windowsill one day, filled a bottle with water, opened the window and poured the water out. Unfortunately for him, I forgot he would look up when I opened the window....
the 'poor little thing' got a face full.
Haven't seen him for a while.....
Meanwhile, my cat George (small, affectionate and a 'mummy's boy') is peacefully asleep on my bed.
How can a 7lb cat take up so much space?

Amanda,

A vet a few years ago offered to neuter all cats in my area, (if I was willing to catch then) for €10 a 'piece'. I was happy to pay. The owner thought and i quote 'the females should put their tails beween their legs!'.... Suffice to say her cats were not neutered, mine got infections ans were put to sleep..... I now have 2 cats and one kitty. The adults are neutered so no babies but if I had my time back again would neuter all of my aunts cats as I caught then and let her complain. I might have my old Zippper back..................

Teddys Girl Report 24 May 2008 12:24

When my cat was a kitten I was forever taking him to Vets to treat abscesses, where a big old Tom was always duffing him up, and biting him.
Eventually this old Tom was missing, and when he came home, we said to the owner, well what do you expect he is going after She cats, So she had him neutered. My cat then had some peace.

Teresa.

Glad you said that about water pistols as I have just been and got one..I have three cats two are only 11 months both girls and have been done, but they have been chased around by a blasted tom from around the corner. they used to be ss loving but now seem to hide..I'll get him one day. my other is a big black tom he has been done, but just sits and watches.....helpful chappie lol.

Amanda2003 Report 24 May 2008 13:07

Maggie....I'm glad that the tom that was bothering you has been put off by the water..........lol

The thing with this George is that he isn't top Tom cat in her house anyway..........I think that is why he takes out his frustration on my cats.
I've seen him being confronted by other Toms in the area and he always backs down.......a cowardly boy.........but when it comes to stealth attacks on my bunch he is up for it.

Mrs walked past earlier....nose in the air.
Mind you I think she is keeping ALL her cats shut indoors now.
My oh says I musn't feel bad that I lost my temper with her yesterday........he says " don't you think she has faced this sort of strife before ? "....well yes I believe she has.

just seen this, well done amanda, i'm a firm believer in that if they cant controll their animals, they have no hope in controlling their kids......
this couple in middle 80's had 2 weinerammers, lovely big dogs, always roaming the streets... lol the couple had to find new homes for them as they couldnt handle them, i was forever taking them home......... lol, well they have 2 boys now roaming the streets.......... enough said... and no, lucky for me i dont live around there anymore..... just see them when visiting me parents...lol

Mrs has just called me over the garden fence and said how sorry she is for the row and the trouble that her cat has caused me.
I in turn have apologised for using foul language.

George and one of the other "toms" is booked in to have the op. tomorrow..........she plans to get the "others"done in due course.

Thank God for that...........I'm hoping things will quieten down...........and I'm glad we have spoken as I hate a nasty atmosphere.

Hi Amanda,

Gald it is sorted out now !, bet your glad you stood your ground :O)

At least she had the decency to apoligize, lets hope you can now put this behind you :O)

Amanda2003 Report 29 May 2008 13:52

I am glad Shelia...........to be honest I was dithering about yesterday thinking I ought to say sorry , my oh stopped me and I'm glad he did.

The last thing I wanted was a bad atmosphere every time I go out in the garden so I am very happy that she has said sorry first.
