Sally F, I have met quite a few and I have liked everyone I have met. You have to take some risks in life. My 'meets' are usually over coffee or lunch. The bigger meets usually tend to be in pubs etc and then my OH comes with me. It is great meeting and talking to people.

I'm sure it would be fine Ann, it's just not me. Plus my daughter is forever lecturing me about the dangers of meeting people I only know online. LOL she's nearly 15 and acts like a very protective mother. :)

I haven't met anyone

have spoken to Daff on the phone and Liz, ( PD) They both come across as they do on here.....only funnier.

Not really into meets but maybe one day...who knows :-)

I have met several people over the last couple of years or so, some in Manchester, Sussex, Wales, Peterborough and Norwich and will be having a minimeet during the first week of June, in or around King's Lynn or Hunstanton.
Will put details up, all welcome.
It is so good to have faces to go with names, and luckily most of the faces are less odd that some of the names we chose lol
Have met some wonderful people so far, and hope to meet lots more. Am also in touch by phone with several others, and have been entrusted with photos too. What a surprise to see some folk who look nothing like I have pictured but always lots better!

We met for lunch in a pub, but we never got lunch as the service was terrible and I had to get back to work.

We got on really well....................then poof, there she was gone!!

Oh how I wish . . . but I can't swim across the pond . . . still waiting for my ship to come in, but with my luck it'll be a rowboat.
I found my 2nd cousin on here, whom I hadn't seen for 31 years at that point. She's struggling with a ravaging disease and I would so love to fly home and see her.
I was very shocked when another 3rd cousin's (whom I found the the Clwyd FHS) daughter married someone she met online, but the marriage seems to be blessed.
I have a very good friend in a nearby city whom I met through eBay,believe it or not. I've met her many times and it's like we've always been friends.
It can work online, and I feel some of the folks on here have become friends and I'd like to look them up when next I'm over. Hopefully they feel the same way!!!!

Re 2nd cousin. her husband who arranged the contact was really nice but with his wife [my 2nd cousin] I felt we were being judged by what we had not who we are. Its a shame really as my side of the family is very small, only my brother & I and three cousins on my Mum's side, we get along fine with them.My husband is one of six and no problems there either.
