Male urine only. They have the equipment to make weeing in a compost bin possible and their urine doesn't contain oestrogens which apparently isn't good for compost. |

Lots of good advice, dont forget to stir the contents of bin every once in a while. Dont really like not having open base, can see the heap getting very wet and smelly. We have a compost bin and a separate wormery which takes kitchen rubbish, not cooked. Bin gets grass cuttings, shrub and plant remnants, some paper. You can compost shredded paper. It will all seem to disappear in a very short time when it gets warm. Jean PS Dont worry about the small white insects you will get, they are harmless. |
