Last year, John, I gave away a music centre, on which I could play records, together with all my records. Now I am slowly building up a CD collection of some of the artists whose records belonged to me, or had belonged to my parents.

There was a programme about Al Bowlly on BBC4 (I think) a few months ago, and I remembered the Al Bowlly LP that had belonged to my parents. Recently I ordered a CD from play.com - the very best of Al Bowlly - only just under £3! - and am enjoying his voice all over again.

Next to be replaced are the Ralph Reader Gang Show songs ... :-)
