Lived near Peel in the Isle of Man for about 3 years when I was a child, beautiful, rented farm cottage...view of the Irish mountains across the sea....idyllic in many ways. |

Rose , house prices have fallen in the bottom half of the village after the floods , thing is it was a one off .. not likely to happen again for at least 200 years and never happened before ..really unfair for the people living there .. |

you could do to buy a camper van for the summer and go travelling Rose, that way you could visit loads of places and spend time at the ones you like |

I'm not sure I lived abroad but came back to the UK, moved to Cornwall then moved back to the Midlands now live 2 miles away from where I grew up and went to school |
