Lived near Peel in the Isle of Man for about 3 years when I was a child, beautiful, rented farm cottage...view of the Irish mountains across the sea....idyllic in many ways.

and in East Looe from age 13-15 ish....

Lucky you Rose!!

I think I remember you saying about the IOM, its the home of my forfathers and you can see it from our coast on a clear day, maybe thats the attraction for me.

Where were you in both places?

Rose , house prices have fallen in the bottom half of the village after the floods , thing is it was a one off .. not likely to happen again for at least 200 years and never happened before ..really unfair for the people living there ..
Sending estate agents info to you !! xx

you could do to buy a camper van for the summer and go travelling Rose, that way you could visit loads of places and spend time at the ones you like

Ideally, I'd like a place in the West Country, a place in London, a place in Brighton and a place in the posh end of where I live now:))

Hi Stella ~~~ Chester not Chesterfield, that is still a distinct possibility as is Shropshire and all stations between lol...

price is the main drawback...so looking hard at the moment at all options!

I'd go to Snowdonia or the Derbyshire countryside (Whatstandwell etc). Or Bascote Heath in Warwickshire.
