I.m going to stick up for us oldies by confessing that I like both Des o'Connor,and Val Doonican.....so there!!!
Saw a marvellous Val show in Llandudno about 7 years ago,and he could teach the younger ones a thing or two about stamina,and you can hear every word he sings,as Des does.........You wait till your children make fun of the stuff you listen to.............

Hayley,
I LOVE him singing the Skye boat song with Roger Whittaker. Other songs I like too, but that one is my favourite of his! Your Mam will enjoy the CD.
