penny my boy went to kingswood last year when he was in year 4, he loved it... i cried me eyes out when he left..... he was just waving and jumping about....lol no tears from him but thats another story....lol

He's 11 this year, and off to secondary school after the summer

the yr 6 kids have been on a 3 day residential from the school where i work
they had a great time - the parents however were a different story!!
the first time is always the worst, but im sure he'll be having a great time

Im sure your son will have a wonderful time,In the last few years,have had 3 grandchildren go to Kingswood.They have had an absolute ball.They mix with children from other schools,and also working as teams and forming friendships.Relax,and both enjoy a few days apart,when he returns ,he wil have so much to tell you.

Well I managed to contain myself until I got back to the car!
They were half an hour late going - which isn't much but its ages when you are holding in the tears!

He has gone to Kingswood - which isn't PGL but do similar thing. They do PGL in year 6.

I feel for you, my 10 year old goes away with the school in July, only 3 days but I am dreading it.
