Well, we got back about half an hour ago. We had a nice journey home with only a small hold up with the roundabout on the A19 that had roadworks on, but even that wasn't really a problem.

It was wonderful to meet you all, you're all wonderful. And we'll have to get a meet sorted over here. GR goes coast to coast LOL

Hi Jenny

ps........yes Fred where were you??

Mommylonglegs

Mommylonglegs Report 1 May 2008 19:52

Well where were you then Fred??? Hope all is well.

I have been back just over an hour but only just been able to get on the laptop. Was a good girl and prepared all the stuff for a Paella this morning and have just cooked it.

We have had a lovely time. Sun was shining when we arrived but then had a little bit of thunder and lightening and the sea was a little wild. The Boardwalk is small, but we all had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks.
Summer Scribe has gone back home this teatime as her Dad was not too well, plus they realised the traffic would be easier before the Bank Holiday.

Only a small meet, but we have laughed and had a good time. Plus it was more relaxing for me as I had met the others before.

Thanks Liz, Mau, Maureen, Ann & Cherry for getting me out of the house for a few hours.

Love Jenny xx

Don't you believe that Jenny peeps,Fred isn't the mad one [not much ],it's her and her mate Ann,that keep leading me astray.
I ask myself ,who started me off on fish and chips from the water front in shields?,
Jeeeeeenny,that's who ,lol.
Hope the weather is better than the last time he he.Fred..

Morning all. It's a dry morning here in Tynemouth, albit a little cloudy. Hoping for a little sunshine later, although the forecast doesnt look too good. So dont think we shall be dipping our toes in the sea. Mind you, if Fred is with us who knows!!!

Met up with Summer Scribe and her parents yesturday for 4 hours and had a nice time. I was shattered when I got home.

Me, Cherry, Ann and Maureen 10 will be arriving at The Broadwalk at around 12.15pm.

Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Good morning Jenny. You'll be okay in the rain at cemetery, there are good paths to walk around. Liz has map and it'll be easy for her and family to find her grandad's grave.

Looking forward to Thursday and meeting everybody.

Guess what? It has been absolutley chucking it down since 6am. Certainly not the weather for walking round the graveyard.
Better see how many pairs of wellies and umbrella's I can find.

Glad you can make it Fred, looking forward to seeing you both again.
Do you still have my mobile number?

Just been talking to Liz, SummerScribe on the phone. She is feeling much better but still not 100% She sounds a lovely person.
We are meeting tomorrow to find her Grandfathers Grave. Then onto the Library to do some more searching.
She is really looking forward to our mini meet on Thursday.
I didnt realise she was so young, makes me feel so old. I am nearer her parents age. Lol.
