Wow Ian yes thats the correct spelling, it is about 30 miles from me I love Ullswater, have you visited?

My family all come from a place near a lake called Ullswater, or something like that....not sure of the spelling.

I'm always in Cumbria. Know lots of people there.

Am I right in thinking that your OH's ex was called Red Gurnard Jennings? What a strange name.

I too like cow meat, but we call it steak over here.

Ian I am in South Cumbria, born in Ulverston. When did you visit Cumbria? I have rellies a century back from Maryport. dont eat the aforenamed fish as it is hubbies ex wives name pmsl!!

I think people either love or hate fish, Ann that sounds lovely what you had.

Caz,good for you, scallops are one of my favs.
grandson who is a chef said to quick fry in butter 2 mins either side perfick.... I love fish except trout and kippers ,dont do bones,prawns are really best

Caz, as a lover of shellfish it sounds wonderful.

had a lovely large shared plate of grilled fish in Tenerife - Langoustine, large prawns, mussels,squid sole and churne, very nice. also had a couple of lots of calamari in batter.

Love the joke Liz!! If it was a choice between fish and what you are saying, well the fish wouldnt win put it that way!!

I adore all fish but funnily enough dont like calamari.

Its a nightmare, the finances of your own home, isnt it?
