Hi everyone,

I posted on here a couple of days ago requesting information regarding funeral ashes. Jac very kindly sent me 2 pm's with all the relevant details which covered everything I needed to know. Just be discrete in what you say, post the minimum details and wait and see which kind person gets back to you.

Victoria, most of the people I know who do it are very happy people with lives and feel past experience gives them good reason to do it:)

Lancs Lass, I've been to a few meets and have met a lot of people, including some good friends. Some people know my real name anyway and I have no idea who's looking in and reading these boards but I do have relations who use this site as well. And I value my privacy:)

Agree totally David, more than once I have written a long reply to a thread, only to delete before sending...

simply because everyone would then know rather more than I would feel comfortable with! (lol but you read subtext so well you PMd me! :) )

but how do others know you on here and why are you wary of sharing personal information.

I feel sorry for all those you are on about that keep tabs on who's who they are very sad lonely people and need to get alife . I have had alsorts happen to me and if someone tried to use it malicously then good luck the people that mean any thing to me know already.

there are threads that iv seen that i maybe could help people on here but i dont want to give away to much about me or my life so i dont add to them

Jac & Kay, sometimes (like recently) it's just where there's discussion threads about subjects 'close to my heart':) so pms wouldn't really work.

Often a post will get delted because they have put it on wrong thread ,or found what they offered has just been advised,or they just didnt like what they had written,,,,or they got things wrong,,,,,,,,

Josie's Other Grandad - what deletions are you talking about? I've just run through this thread and can see none.

I find it sad to see a thread dealing with delicate matters that have postings deleted for unknown reasons. Whoever started the thread clearly has more courage than me, and it really is pathetic that some feel it funny to mock that courage.

Glad to hear that old chap, although Macaroni Cheese is no comparison to Pork Chop is it? ))))

On a serious note, if I feel I can help anyone (and gawd knows it's not often I think I can) then I send them a message off the boards and converse that way. Not that I reveal anything too personal about myself really I supose - I always keep my Umbrella Up! lol
