gardening gloves sounds like a good idea
they have had it for a week .
they do everything they are supposed to do.

It will only be a goodwill gesture if they do change it Rose they are under no legal obligation.

Make sure when your friend handles the hamster that her hands are clean........sounds daft but they have a very strong sense of smell and often bite as they smell food on human hands and bite to have a taste not realising what they are doing.

Also.......make sure the hamster isn't grabbed from behind but is cupped into the hands from the front so that he/she is not taken unawares.

If all else fails........bribe it with raisins til they will look for her when she walks into the room waiting for the raisins. They are putty in your hands then lol

I've always managed to talk em round in the end lol xx

depends when they got it but i doubt they will change it

your mate needs to persavere and gain its trust had hammys all me life luv em but they are snappy little things
they need to wait till it wakes natrally on a night and handle it as much as possible maybe wearing gloves at first

Perserverance I'm afraid. They're very shortsighed too so you have to makes sure you don't startle them. I think the gardening gloves are a good idea.

My grandaughter had one like that and she wore gardening gloves to pick it up.She did tame it though with them gloves. Annie

a mate of mine has bought a hamster
but it bites like mad and no one wants to touch it
will the pet store change it ??
Does my friend have any rites ..
the 1st hamster they got is a dream and they can pick it up and give it cuddles and its lovely but this new one is vicious its drawn blood to anyone who dare touches it lol
