Oh no, that sounds ominous Mau, I too hope it isn't your special blackbird. We have one too, and I get worried for him, two of the neighbours cats come into the garden, altho mainly under cover of darkness luckily, I always know when they are about as the security lights go on.
Spotted a magpie on the garage roof a little while ago. We have a robin that visits and also had blue tits around the bird box for ages last week, but they haven't been back since.
Keep us posted, whether you see your blackbird again.

In the garden----.a female Sparrowhawk

She is a fine looking specimen and having her dinner!

However noticing the black feathers all around her I'm not happy:O(......... hope it's not my favourite Blackbird who comes every morning to kitchen door for his fruit!!

but circle of life and all that,we all have to eat to stay alive
