Sister has just called us, our Mum was rushed into hospital in the early hours. Mum has a condition and the drugs she is on leaves her open to infection and they are now thinking that maybe when she went to hospital to see her consultant last week she picked up an infection, but at moment nothing is staying down and for Dad to call anamulance she must be bad.

Dad is with her but is a diabetic an not in the best of health, from what sister has said she thinks he has remembered his injection stuff mind you e is in the right place if not.

Still going to see Nan in Hospital this afternoon and then sister said we will go and see mum if they will allow it, dad told her not to bother today but sister is adamant she wants to go just waiting for dad to call back when he knows more.

Please can you do your positive thoughts for mum and dad as they are going through it at moment.

UPDATE 1

Dad just rang from hospital nobody is allowed to visit mum until she has been given the all clear and they know what they are dealing with.
All patients are being moved from a side ward so that mum has a ward to herself so she doesnt pass this on.
Dad sounds shattered as youd expect but did ask him about his injection and he has got it with him and has had it and eaten a snickers bar.
Hes going to wait til mums been moved and settled and then ring his neighbour to get a lift home to have a bit of a rest and get his meal sorted.

UPDATE 2
last heard mum was still being sick, dad is meant to be going about 4pm to visit her but he called when I was out to say he wasnt well either says if he gets worse will ring ambulance then they can be in there together. They cant start treating mum for infection till they know what it is so have to wait for lab results


UPDATE 3
Hve had 2 negatove lab results back so they have sent yet another one and now more blood. They are now thinking a virus as nothing else has shown up. Have done a chest xray today to make sure nothing there and the plan is if nothing on tomorrows lab result they will move her to the next ward back into civilisation as she is still in isolation and will wait for blood results then probably cart her off home.
Dad is still feeling ill although sounds better than he has for a few days must be strange for him being home all alone as he is mums carer so they are used to spending every day together.
