Why is it we can't tell our parents, I think my Mum knew something happened, but I denied it, how foolish!

I can totally empathise. I think it does and that often times the child might not even realise that's what it was until they're older.

I had my own experience but am not going to go into it.

I had cause to report a train guard in the '70's... I never told my Mum.

I have never ever told anyone about something that happened to me when I was five, thank God he never did anything to me but it was still sexual abuse, I think it happens more frequently than people realise
