Don't delete it, Dee. I do think it's important that people aren't afraid to speak out, even if there's no details it can be healthy just to acknowledge that something did happen when it can be so hard to tell people in real life. He got his comeuppance though and the thought still does make me smile. It's Karma. |

I am so impressed by anyone that can even mutter any inclings of a terrible experience such as the one being dicussed on this thread. I am also stunned and amazed at how many there are on this small thread that have experienced abuse as children. I can't bear the thought that either of my daughters wouldn't tell me if they were abused by somebody, we do have an inborn instinct to protect our children though I completely understand why you didn't tell your mum Summer Scribe Liz. How painful at the outset for you to carry such an awful burden like that. |

She does, Hayley, over the bullying. It's why I could never tell her about this other thing. To me, compared to what others experienced it was nothing, but I think in the grand scheme of things it did leave a mark. |

Sometimes I think it never affected me, but other times I think it has something to do with why I'm so perpetually single. It doesn't tear me up, I came to terms with it a long time ago, I just don't think it's something my parents could handle. Hell, mum still gets choked up that I was bullied at school and didn't tell them. |
