Errol - my tips for what they are worth - if you are really suffering in the lung area is to get a heated wheat bag (on top of meds) and place it below shoulder blade on the lung you are suffering from.

Also a rolled up towel to chest when you cough help the pain.

Take it easy and take it serious - this is really serious illness and although 'fixed' my right lung is still scared three years on and I have never totally restored my energy levels xxxx

Dear Errol,

I have heard that you are poorly at present.......I will give you my late father's recipe for curing chest infections, colds and similar ailments.....

Take the cool fat from the goose and spread liberally on the chest, paying particular attention to the bronchial and throat regions....

Around the throat wrap two or three very sweaty socks and pin together.....

Cover the goose fat with brown paper and wrap string around the chest to keep it in place....

Boil up several large onions in milk until they are soft......remove from milk......drink the milk with a liberal dose of alcohol......eat the onions first having doused heartily in black pepper.....

Keep away from others, because you will smell.....
