Julie she will go to school clean as a whistle tomorrow........ you can guarantee by Tuesday I'll be picking adults off her head....it is disgraceful. Uncomfortable for her and expensive and time consuming for me. Not on at all.

She's VERY blonde and has quite fluffy hair at the front...... apparently that is ideal conditions for them so she's a bit of a magnet.
xx

I know how you feel Muffy. Every time there was an episode at school my daughter always caught them. I'd get rid of them then it'd start again a few weeks later, sometimes sooner than that. I grew sick of combing and trying to find some non chemical shampoo way of getting rid of them. I even resorted to using vodka at one point.

Seriously getting hacked off with this SS. Another tenner and another week of combing through and picking the damn things off her cos somebody can't be a**ed to sort it out with their own kids .

If the Edwardians knew it was unhygenic and awful then why the hell do we tolerate it today.

I've just fired off a letter to my local paper asking for their support for a campaign to stamp this out.

Doubt I'll hear anything but I can only try xx

I'm just reading the book about Edwardians I got for mothers day.... some of the conditions described are appalling...... however........

One thing stands out........ despite the fact that some lived in abject poverty....... they STILL had a nit nurse in the schools !!! Even the poorest ones!!! WHY is it considered not so important nowadays?

I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't some sort of conspiracy between the powers that be and the companys that make the lotions and potions...........

(another weekend spent with yuk in our hair obviously)xx
