I have never ever heard of such nonsense - the bride/groom/parents arrange a wedding and reception - such as they can afford. The buttonholes are only provided for the ushers/bride and groom's immediate families. As to £65 for accommodation - they either pay it or make their own arrangements - or stay away. You have already changed the venue 3 times for goodness sake. Stop trying to please everyone - in the end you will please nobody. All that is really needed is yourselves and two witnesses - whether you marry in church or registry office. Do what suits you and Malc - forget everyone else - and stick to it. Tell them anymore hassle and it will be a twosome plus 2 witnesses. Think of the wonderful things you could do with all the money you save!!!!!! You do not need pressies! I hate to say it but they sound like a selfcentred pack of so and so's. You have had your troubles and worries over the past months. Enjoy yourselves and best wishes and happiness to you both. |

Oh Jackie, don't you know you should never try to please the rest... the only person you have to worry about pleasing is your OH. It is your wedding after all and no one else's. |
