Christina
We go March 18 and I think going by previous trips in March it'll be really cold, even snow possible.

Ann Bubba Gump is a family restaurant and does lots of lovely basic but really good food. Red Lobster is a fish restaurant and you can choose the lobster you want (Oooh err)
Did take my camera into MSG but there wasn't a concert on at the time so not sure.
Didn't rate Bloomingdales but Macy's is great.
Make sure you go to the Dakota Building where John Lennon was shot and accross the road into Central Park you'll see the strawberry fields memorial to him.
Also a must is a nip into Tiffanys to buy a little keepsake. LOL

Have read this thread with interest.
My eldest daughter is 30 next year and wants me and my two other daughters to go with her to New York for a weekend to celebrate. On top of that my very best (and oldest friend) lives in Miami and she has said she will join us for a proper girlie weekend - all I have to do is pluck up the courage to say yes!

Will look forward to hear how your stay goes WS. Hope you both have a fantastic time.

Ann
Just looked and the pass is $100 for a 3 day pass which gives you access to 40 attractions or $145 for the attractions and bus tours I mentioned which is good value even though it's dearer than last year.

Go to www.NewYorkPass.com and follow the instructions. We have stayed just off Times Square and also west side of Central Park. Really love it. Wish I could afford to go every weekend. Madison Square Gardens is smaller than what I thought it would be but has some amazing photo's of who has played there.
Please go to Bubba Gump on Times Square for a meal. The Red Lobster is also a good restaurant and not too expensive.
If you can get a stretch limo from the airport to make it even more special. About $40 depending on which airport you're arriving at. Can you guess that I can't wait to go again.

thanks Di
that sounds good, where do you get the pass from

Have been 3 times and off again in Easter.
Please get a 3 day pass for New York before you go. Online they cost about 50$ and you get discounted access then to loads of attractions. You bypass the queues including the ones for Empire State and the ferry to Statue of Liberty. Also recommend the sightseeing bus tours, Uptown, Midtown and Downtown for again about a total of 50$ and you hop on hop off. Well worth it.

How wonderful, I have always wanted to go to New York, what a place. One place I want to visit is the Deli where they filmed "that scene" in When Harry Met Sally...I don't remember the name of it, but it is very popular!! Have a great time, enjoy.

Hi Christina
We have an apartment for the week, at Eastgate Towers Hotel.
If you are wanting to go up the ESB, make a reservation online it will save a big proportion of the 4 or 5 hours which you have to queue.( We have )

I have followed EC sice the 1960's when he was with the Yardbirds ( for a very short time) and try not to miss a concert when he is playing within a reasonable distance from home
